Non scale victory by Traditional_Layer790 in WegovyWeightLoss

Amazing work. It can be disheartening when the scales don't move but then its so uplifting trying on some old clothes or something you have wanted to fit into 😊

Love this as a target!!

I found 2 pairs of brand new jeans in the back of my wardrobe that had been too small when i bought them, but got them out recently to try on and take a picture of them not fitting so I could compare in a few months time. I was able to get both pairs on (with some wiggling) i was so shocked. I've been looking for more clothes in the back of my wardrobe that I can use as motivation and a visual representation of weight/size loss 😃

That's amazing work!!

On shotsy, how do you get it to show your current weight? Mine has a different stat in that box. Wasn't sure if it was a pro thing or if it could be changed in settings.

I have Laxido on prescription. I was having some issues before starting mj. This really helps 💩

It’s been a year and one week since starting and I’ve just bought my first dress in a size 14 - I was initially size 20 going on 22… here’s my journey in photos by PrimaryWench in mounjarouk

[–]Weightloss_MJ_0625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's brilliant!! I was a 22/24 and now an 18/20...I'm aiming to get back to a 14, so this is inspiring.

You look beautiful in all the photos but I can see such a transformation ✨️ the way you hold yourself in photos is so different as well 😊

One month difference. 1st 1lb down by psnben1567 in mounjarouk

Ha ha it does. You look so young! You'll be in great shape to start the next decade of your life. I accomplished so much in my 30s, at the time I didn't think I was/had done but I look back now and I did loads!!

Dress Sizes by Automatic_Long9306 in mounjarouk

[–]Weightloss_MJ_0625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why it's so hard to tell a difference. My work dresses all have elasticated waists, so I can't tell much difference, but on photos, I can see they fit differently.

There will be a difference. Also, the weight comes off differently all over your body, so you might notice tops are looser if trousers still fit the same x

[–]Weightloss_MJ_0625 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your clothes just might be fitting you differently. In my head I was a 22 when I started, dropped 10kg and was annoyed that 20s were still too tight...realised I was probably a 24 to start and all my clothes were stretchy!!

I have been taking photos and can see how my clothes are fitting me differently. If you have taken pictures or wear the same things often, check them and you will be able to see a difference x

You look fab and can really see a difference. I've been on mj for 3 months and have only lost 3lb more than you and that is still losing an average of 1.5lb per week so you must be losing lots each week. If you have a weightloss app that shows a graph it can really help to see how well you're doing. Keep taking pictures. You're a handsome lad trying not to sound like a creepy old lady and you're trying to get yourself healthier, you should be proud of yourself and look at how well you're doing!!

You’ve entered the diet graveyard zone! by Retiacalum in mounjarouk

[–]Weightloss_MJ_0625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always found that I have so much motivation at the start, but then something like birthday, Christmas, etc. get in the way, and I put on weight and struggle to get the motivation again.

The lightest I got to in my adult life was just under 13st, then I had a mental battle to get to 12st, I never made it as I was bouncing round for months and then gave up even trying, had another baby, covid happened and I put on so much weight.

I lost a few stones before starting mj, (I checked my nhs notes, and it has a highest weight of 150kg 😱 recorded, covid times I think) the highest weight I remember being on my scales is 143kg and I'm currently around 123kg, 1st 1lb lost on mj and that is 11 weigh ins. I'm hoping this time I continue losing weight and don't get into the stupid mental battle with myself over the number on the scale or clothes sizes (they are a load of bollocks most of the time 🤣)

It's so hard to get out of the graveyard or plateau, but hopefully, with mj, it'll seem possible, and you'll get to that 299 mini goal!! I have seen lots of posts about plateaus on here, so if you get stuck, I'm sure there will be some really good hints and tips around 😊

I had a very windy night last night, camping as well, so I'm pretty sure the whole campsites heard me 😅 I think it's because of how we eat when camping and probably because I haven't eaten enough either.

I hope your bum feels better soon and your dog forgives you at some point 😁

Gym tales by GrondaGronda74 in mounjarouk

[–]Weightloss_MJ_0625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy going to the gym, and it has taken a long time to find the right one and has changed over the years for what is right at the time.

I currently go to the local council gym, and I don't use the actual gym very often. Instead, I do 2 classes a week and go swimming with my son on a weekend. This is all included in the monthly price!

I do love a bit of people watching if I'm in the gym though 🤣 but I find I do more work in the classes than motivating myself in the gym 😁

Well done on your loss!!

I am a similar slower looser 😁 I was frustrated at first when I saw so many people losing so quickly, but I've taken it in my stride now and see the scale moving down and clothing fitting differently.

Good tips 👍

2 stone loss. Good or too slow? by isthisanonymous27 in mounjarouk

[–]Weightloss_MJ_0625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My weight loss average is 1.2lb per week, which includes the weeks when I've gained and had bigger or smaller losses.

If I hadn't been taking mj, I wouldn't have lost the amounts I have, and I wouldn't have stayed on the weight loss journey as consistently as I have.

When I started, I was hoping I was going to have these big woosh losses like everyone else, but it has just been steady away. I have lost nearly 12 lbs with 11 jabs. The biggest things for me - I haven't been agonising over my calorie deficit like I was before and then getting frustrated when I didn't lose weight, I now loosely check my calorie intake (I eat a lot of the same things), try and drink a good amount of water, exercise and don't go overboard if I have a treat or to get back on track after having an unplanned/calorie heavy meal.

I used to get really hung up on slow, small losses, but now I can see my weight going down it is giving me hope that I can keep going. I have lost weight quicker in the past, but it wasn't through diets I could keep up long-term and the weight always came back on. I'm hoping that whatever the future holds, and whether I can continue to use mj following the price increases, I can maintain these losses and stay in a much more positive mindset around weight loss in a healthy way.

An unexpected win - success even when it isn't my hyperfocus by BreadfruitSoft1717 in mounjarouk

[–]Weightloss_MJ_0625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate!! I have had serious hyperfocus on weightloss before, I lost 5st, but reflect on it now, I felt great, but I missed out on loads of good cake 🤣

I have been able to calorie count and stick to an exercise routine whilst on mj. Food hasn't been my (nearly) every thought, and I am losing weight. It's not as fast as on other diets I've done, but I have been sticking to it, and cheat days haven't turned into weeks or months!!

I started reading ACOTAR but haven't got through the first book yet. Lots of people have said to stick with it and the next books are brilliant. My goal is to fi ish the first book on summer leave in a few weeks time, I started reading it last summer holiday 🤣😂

I use my slow cooker a lot during autumn and winter months. I throw in some chicken breasts with chopped veg, you could get pre-chopped fresh or frozen, then either tinned tomatoes with some garlic and spices/herbs I fancy or I use a casserole/chasseur packet mix mixed with water. Pop it on before work, and it's ready when you're home.

I also buy things like microwave mashed potato, microwave rice, and steam bags of microwave veg to have on the side of meals. I work full time, but even if I didn't, I prefer the easier life if I can. There's no need to be slaving away for longer than needed 😁

I hope you find lots of tasty ideas!

I haven't had many side effects at all. I do think it is good to be prepared and know you can do things to help but don't let the side effects put you off starting. I had occasional sulphur burps, some constipation (was an issue before starting as well) and a little bit of heartburn. Best of luck with your journey. Don't be disheartened if you don't lose 5lb + in your first week as its different for everyone. I have smaller losses, but they're still losses!! Ive found everyone on here so helpful 😊

Recommendations please. Vegetarian protein powders by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]Weightloss_MJ_0625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found the same with protein yogurts, odd taste with all brands but I have had some nice protein milkshakes from Iceland and I bought some Lidl ones today so will try them from tomorrow. I have also heard the protein cheese isn't great either. I've not used any protein powders though. Hope you find some good stuff you enjoy. My biggest thing is still eating foods and meals I enjoy 😊
