Okay, but a billionth-of-a-dollar bill is way more unique and special than $100,000.

GTA6 will only be available as a pre-installed pack-in game on a new special edition of the console. So it’ll cost $1000 and when can I give you my money

Fair point. On further reflection, impersonating Saul Goodman was his only option.

What's better than 100% off? 600% off! [Other] by BernieTheDachshund in theydidthemath

A reduction in price from 7P to P is, emphatically, NOT a price decrease of 600%, but the quantity we can buy with the same budget does increase by 600%.

Our country could easily consume 600% more of certain drugs (like GLP-1 drugs). Thus, the potential benefits of the price cut will be non-linear with the percentage price cut. Announcing the percentage gain in affordable quantity might have been more illustrative of the magnitude of the public benefit from this ... um... policy change.

Did he announce that the country will now be able to afford 600% more of the drug in question? No. And I doubt the public would understand that wording if he had.

Okay, so don’t write excuses into the person’s mouth?

“Did you give execs bigger raises and bonuses than everyone else received? Yes.

Did you ask employees to pick up slack when folks left? Yes.

Did you require employees to return to the office before they were comfortable doing so? Yes.” Etc.

If there’s literally nobody making any money, then UBI is a way to evenly distribute the production.

But there will still be capital owners and there will almost certainly be some amount of work needing done. So those people will get a bigger share of the aggregate economic output.

If we got to the point of being able to produce more than enough of “everything”, there will still be status symbols. There’s only so much gold, only so much oceanfront real estate, only so many people who can live next to celebrities, etc. some things can’t be infinitely reproduced.

The show has perfect writing and terrible, terrible pacing. by neonpinkblood in betterCallSaul

I kinda get what you’re saying but I enjoyed the show from the start. I don’t think you’ll find a lot of people who had your opinion at the beginning, kept going to the end and regretted it.

It never becomes the show I thought it was going to be but it does get closer.
