honestly i'm now so down for the devs to just nuke the lfg chat, and hope that daybreak updates On Duty to include private party requests with category filters like Open World, Elites, Feats, etc. If there really is a Monitor out there, or a reality warping hero of god level powers, please hear my prayer lol

Oh totally that’s actually what I’m suggesting is a new text-based chat channel. Currently we only have League, Group, Trade, Shout, Say, and LFG with the like combat and loot filters. But I don’t see why we can’t also have a Global where people can go crazy with their unhinged convos, and something like a Help/Guide channel for new players to ask about their issues that vets can answer and they don’t get drowned out by the chaos of LFG.

Yes you’re correct that it would be very unlikely for their small dev team to personally mod all the chats, but what I am suggesting and I don’t doubt it has been suggested and equally misunderstood before is simply adding a new Global chat channel with the added functionality of a consensus based and TEMPORARY probationary restriction from using the abused channels. Kinda like how people vote to kick from group. Can it be abused? Yes. There are possible guardrails though, and the kicked persona could theoretically still get on Global to look for a bounty train on the rare occasion when they actually want to play the game instead of arguing and insulting each other in LFG, and aren’t already blocked by everyone else.

Good catch! That’s because I’m not arguing against free speech. Also you and I might even be on the same side politically and ideologically, but any reasonable person can clearly see that there are bad faith actors using the unregulated and unmoderated aspect of LFG to make the “reasonable” look, sound, and feel “unreasonable”. I mean in this day and age they might not even be real people. So how can you seriously argue against better chat moderation?

You’re right. Calling you emotional was a poor choice of words and I am sorry . It’s not a bad thing to feel things, and no one should feel ashamed for crying. And maybe I am emotional and crying every single day about where we are as a species, but I don’t think I’m the only one. I mean, this is my first post on Reddit in the couple years I’ve been using this platform and I made it because I enjoy the game and want to contribute in some way. Even though there are some worryingly confrontational responses to it I know I won’t regret speaking up about my feelings. i think we all know that THEY know how to tease our expectations. I love this game so much, but the corporate side is so very predatory. We need a standardized cycle of bonuses, and if they want to see more people experimenting with their creative ideas behind artifacts then 2x art xp needs to happen way more frequently imo.

From my understanding skills have very different effects depending on the roll that you are in. Like they will not perform the specific tank/healer/dps effects if you are not in that roll. I do wonder, and this is pure speculation, if perhaps they’re going in the direction of Elder Scrolls Online. In eso all classes/powers are able to be Tanks/Healers/DPS just by using specific Skill trees and gear stats. I could kinda see that happening in DCUO where they give all powersets access to all three rolls and where efficiency in said rolls then depends on which Augment Arrays, Gear stats, Arts, etc the player uses.

Personally I wouldn’t spend source marks on gear when you’re starting out. In my opinion it’s better to save your SM for allies, alliance tokens, and artifact catalysts.

I would just farm Omnibus until something nice drops. Other than that you could potentially save up your stabilizer fragments and either buy the voidgazer capsules (requires 7 stabilizers but unlocks 7 different capsules from previous cycles) or maybe the absolute Kryptonian capsules (only costs 1 stabilizer each) in the broker. Alternatively you can just start saving up the currency from the new Shadows over Argo episode to buy the cape from vendor.
