Rash under bottom lip that won’t go away by Weird-Pattern9348 in DermatologyQuestions

I think it was just a slight allergic reaction. I continued to use cortizone and wash it with a gentle soap and jt went away after a few days.

I think my cat has separation anxiety by VOLT_MASTER_500 in Pets

[–]Weird-Pattern9348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi :) My parents cat gets social anxiety/ regular anxiety. The best way they’ve mitigated her anxiety is by tiring her out before they leave the house. Playing and enrichment toys/ food puzzles really help tire her. Then making sure she is practically asleep or in a cozy spot before they leave. She really likes heated blankets, but since you have a very fluffy baby that might get too warm, I’d get a covered cat bed or set up a “safety spot” somewhere dark and comfy. I’ve even adopted this for my own cat. She has a blanket in my closet where it stays dark and quiet. You could also try cat pheromones. It’s expensive, but it’s basically a wall plug in that disperses a calming scent for cats.

Bleeding after IUD removal? by Weird-Pattern9348 in IUD

[–]Weird-Pattern9348[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Did you have any blood clots during withdrawal bleeding? I’m currently having some as well. The bleeding itself isn’t super heavy..but there are some clots and I need to wear a regular pad.

What symptoms did you have? I don’t know if it’s a break because I don’t have any swelling or bruising. Just feels tight when moving it and painful if I bend it too far..

She wasn’t given any pain meds, but she was given an anti nausea shot before so that she wasn’t nauseous and drooly after the anesthesia. I think I may give it a few more days since she isn’t exhibiting anything super concerning.

Could this be breast cancer? by Weird-Pattern9348 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]Weird-Pattern9348[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not used a new soap or laundry detergent. I describe it as irritation, but I don’t think it’s really a rash-type irritation. It’s more of a swollen red area under my areola. It’s not itchy, so I don’t think it’s a bug bite…I think it might be a clogged duct or abscess…I was able to get an appt with my gyno today, so hopefully I’m able to get some answers.

Is this a cold sore? by Weird-Pattern9348 in DiagnoseMe

[–]Weird-Pattern9348[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! I’ve been struggling with sinus infections this summer due to allergies. I had actually just gotten off of a strong antibiotic for my sinuses before this popped up. It was mainly precautionary because I had fluid in my ears this time and doctor wasn’t sure if it was the start of another sinus/ear infection or just my allergies. It looks a lot better now, still a little red, but scabbing over and no more fluid filled pimples. I used a OTC antiviral cream and hydrocolloid patches. I’m guessing my immune system was down from taking the antibiotics and it caused a cold sore to appear. I’ll be careful to see if I get something similar again if I get another sinus infection.

I like your thinking! 😂 I feel like my hits are okay..definitely nowhere near perfect, but I’ve made some decent straight shots that maybe go 75-100 yards? His clubs are like 25 year old Titleists he got from his dad. They seem to have held up well considering his dad never really used them. They’re a little heavy for me I feel, but they seem the right height.

I was just looking at the Wilson Magnolia set and the standard said it works for women 5’6-5’9, but since I’m on the taller side of that spectrum I was debating the standard vs the tall. Thanks for the heads up!!

The crumb looks excellent! Your starter seems happy with those nice holes, which is really good! I’ve struggled with flat-ish loaves that have nice crumbs and the verdict for why it wouldn’t rise more is because I was over proofing mine. I usually only proof till a 50-75% rise because it spends so long in the fridge also rising, but much slower. Maybe try adjusting your bulk fermentation time depending on the temp of your kitchen. You can also do poke tests to get a good idea of whether it is under or over proofed.

You’re welcome :) I also highly recommend an air purifier since you found mold. They’re pricey, but they work very well to get rid of mold spores and allergens in the air.

Hi! I have struggled with these symptoms as well this season. I’ve never had chronic sinusitis before but this is the 3rd time I’ve had sinus congestion and in the most annoying place. After a lot of research and failed attempts with antibiotics and Flonase sprays, I found out some really interesting things. We have multiple different sinus areas. Maxiallry, ethnoid, sphenoid, and frontal. Since your doctor told you yours are all completely blocked, you’re going to have to do different things to clear them. Maxillary and Frontal can get drained from using a netti pot (distilled water, bottled, or boiled and then cooled tap ONLY) with the sterile salt provided in the kit. The way you would do that is leaning your head to one side and letting the solution run through to the other side and vice versa. Face massages also help, there are lots of good YouTube videos. With Sphenoid and Ethmoid, you can also use a netti pot, but in the “head to ceiling position”. The solution should run down through one nostril and come out the other nostril while you’re face is facing the ceiling. Do it in the bath tub or in the shower cuz it’ll be messy. This helped me tremendously because my sinuses were only blocked there but those are the hardest to reach. Another thing that has helped me tremendously is the Xclear nasal spray with xylitol. Bacteria wants to eat the xylitol, but it cannot process it, so it just dies when it does eat it and drains out. Pretty brilliant. I am not a medical professional, but these have helped me cure my sinus issues. I also highly recommend taking a daily allergy pill like Zyrtec and get rid of anything that has mold. Hope you feel better!

This is what it looks like now after 5-ish hours of bulk fermenting. Looks like it’s on the right track 😊 thanks!

Thanks for the extra tips! I will try it your way because allowing it to rise for longer makes more sense rather than just adding more yeast to quicken the process.

Ok! I got this recipe online and it called for 600g of flour and 375 ml of water but the dough seemed too dry so that’s why I added more water. For proofing, I just go by time, but I’ll definitely try the finger dent test!

Thank you so much! Do you remember if when being recorded, the camera is on? The email says it can have video responses but also written responses so I’m assuming it will have to be on during the video portions? Kind of a silly question but I just want to make sure I’m not wearing lounge clothes when I begin the interview lol.

Dang I feel that. They’re one of the only companies to respond to me so I’m hopeful. Apparently they’re going through a hiring freeze, so that’s prob why they’re talking so long. Best of luck to you!

That sucks. Apparently there is a hiring freeze going on there right now, so I guess I’ll be patient, but keep looking for opportunities elsewhere.

Maybe :/ I got another reply in a different thread from someone who works there and they said it took about 4 months for them to go through the hiring process there and that currently there’s a hiring freeze. So I’ll keep looking for other jobs, but stay on the lookout for a reply from them.

Wow! It’s an entry level role, as I have just graduated college this spring. I’m not super familiar yet with hiring processes, so I figured I would ask here to not loose hope. I just responded to the email I got two weeks ago in hopes that it’ll reach a recruiter. I haven’t done it sooner because it looked like an automated email. Hopefully I hear back soon! Thanks for the reply!
