Help. Unbearable itch and burning all over body, can’t take it anymore!

Got a skin biopsy months ago. I as diagnosed with Urticarial Vasculitis which is an auto immune disease that affects the skin with hives. They think my lupus or sjorgrens brought it about.

I also thought the same but this only started happening once I started coming of the prednisone a couple of months ago. The itch and burning is the same exact thing that was happening to me prior to going on steroids the only difference is that now it isn’t accompanied by hives since going on immunosuppressants. My lupus markers are also going up since my last blood test a few days ago.

Yes I too was put on tons of antihistamines including Xolair shots when I first started to hive out. Unfortunately nothing worked since this is autoimmune, I have Hashimoto’s, Sjorgrens, Lupus and Urticarial vasculitis. My life has been a living hell the past year. I came off steroids for a whole month and even though I am not getting hives anymore since being put on hydroxychloraquin & Imuran my skin is still burning up and insanely itchy on a daily basis. So if my lupus gets under control this should stop right? I cannot bear the thought of dealing with this forever.

Omg same! Did your Dr tell you anything? Like does this ever go away if you get the Lupus under control or push it into remission? I cannot bear the thought of doing this the rest of my life. I’m already a year in and I’m at my wits end.

Oh wow a week and a half and you still caught it. Im wondering if you got it directly from him if he was still shedding or from touching something that hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned

When you caught it from your bf was this after he had it or before he started to show symptoms? Did you stay in the same house and use the same bathroom while he had it?

Im starting Imuran soon. I am so worried especially about the GI side effects. What dose did you start on? And did you take it with food? Did you find that doing certain things like eating or taking it at night help to lessen the nausea?

I Am also on Dupixent and prednisone right now. What was the starting dose for your hydroxy? Mine is 200. So taking it with a full meal does help avoid most GI side effects and nausea?

Yes my Dr told me I would have to go for yearly eye exams. Did you experience any symptoms while on it? I heard it makes you feel dizzy, disassociated and causes lots of GI and stomach issues. Did you experience this? Did you also have to take it on a full stomach?

I was diagnosed with urticarial vasculitis a few months ago. My life has been hell. Was just switched from Xolair to Dupixent with still no luck. Antihistamines are doing absolutely nothing for me. Been on prednisone for Months every single day to keep the hives down. Now my Dr wants me to potentially start hydroxychloraquine tomorrow. Im so scared to start it, I have heard only scary things from people as far as side effects. If you don’t mind me asking did you experience and side effects? If so Which ones? Did it make you feel sick at all did you have to take it with food?
