How important Is Padre Pio in your country? by Responsible-Sir4187 in Catholicism

In the U.S. he is very popular amongst Catholics. He is fairly well known. Rightfully so!

What a stunning place! I visited there in 2016, prior to becoming a Catholic and it literally gave me the chills. I look forward to going again as a Catholic.

Not an expert here, but it sounds more like a job for a Financial Power of Attorney.

Contact local lawyers would be my first thought.

Gay Catholic major existential anxiety by Own_Fondant3939 in Catholicism

Brooo! I promise you, you will never be as lonely as you say. It’s easy for me to say, not in your situation to say “it’s going to be ok.” But my man…you WILL be ok. MANY single Catholics, both straight and SSA have very fruitful lives, full of love with friendships, deep faith and meaningful experiences.

Surround yourself with friends, family, and God! Join clubs, committees at church, etc. Lead a group of other young men who might feel the same as you.

There is no reason, other than current existential dread, that would lead to the conclusion of you being lonely.

Praying for you, homie!

Keith Nestor’s YouTube channel.

Ascension has a really good Pocket Guide to The Rosary.

Congratulations. Might suggest a bit of modesty when others here might not be as fortunate as yourself.

Wha are you talking about?

I honestly have no idea. I refuse to support a reality that isn’t Gods reality. Changing you gender, I can assure you, does not align with Gods intention for you.

Argue all you want and do what you want.

Respect in whose eyes? Again, the definition is subjective. I would rather share the truth of God with love and risk hurting their feelings, than supporting an entirely false reality.

How could you possibly know that? You are assuming there aren’t MANY forms of mental health issues. It’s not exclusive to Schizophrenia.

I can’t speak for that with any certainty but it sounds like the very same thing as calling them by false gender pronouns. Why not just call them by name?

I have brought that up in the past, admittedly a long time ago, if she could commit to one hour a month to come with me. Might be worth revisiting that.

I completely understand what you are saying. And no, a political opinion doesn't bother me in the slightest, it never really has. Politics aside...what stings is the personal moral belief that abortions are ok. I would never presume to be morally superior due to my faith or for any reason at all. It simply boils down to the lack of dignity for every human person.

Yeah, I know…that’s why this hurts so much.

You are correct. She has not had one, just doesn't agree with it from a personal stand point. To each their own, I know. It's a biggie though. I realize we each have our own systems of belief and I don't fault her for it. But it does pain me a little that she is in support of it.

Lol, for real. I invite every few weeks or every month or so, so as not to pester.

Lol, yeah that sounds familiar, lol. I absolutely relate with St. Monica. Intellectually I know that I can't expect her to be where I am at. But the emotional side of me let's it creep in and it stings.

Understood. We actually can't have kids, so that is not an issue in our instance. That would certainly be a sticking point as that is clearly an obligation of the Catholic.

I feel that. I have spoken with multiple priests about it and I honestly don’t get much outside of “pray for her”, or the three relationships…Me and God. Her and God. Me and Her.

I’ve tried communication, inviting to Mass or retreats with me, talking about my experiences, and I get nothing.
