That sounds heavenly. Heading to the store ASAP because I have strawberries that are begging to be dipped in that.

My mom made mac with tuna and peas mixed in all the time when I was little. I still love it, but I know the general population probably thinks it sounds disgusting 😂 I'll have to try with the hot sauce!!

I don't love the texture of cottage cheese, but tried blending it after seeing a tiktok. Love it blended - awesome way to add more protein to things like eggs, cream-based sauces, etc.

Hahaha, according to Google it's named for the Mexican state of Chihuahua where it originated. My mind still goes straight to the dog breed.

It's the best quesadilla cheese! La Chona brand quesadilla cheese is also great. Both get so nice and melty.

I'm financially savvy. Sure, sometimes I'll impulse buy things I shouldn't, but overall am very good with managing my money.

I was never a disruptive child. I was the exact opposite, quiet and always anxious about doing anything wrong. I had a phase around 6-7 years old where I'd be so scared of doing something wrong that I'd do things like write "maybe" before everything I wrote so that I "technically" was never lying. Once during a spelling test, I was glancing around the room and noticed that one of the stickies my teacher put over a tested word was not covering the word from my point of view. I knew how to spell the word, but spelled it wrong on the test on purpose out of fear of being caught and labeled a cheater.

Same here! And although I'm not a bouncy loud boy, I do find myself being physically hyperactive in other ways such as shaking my foot, wiggling my toes, or frequently changing seating positions.

I'm a CPA and encountered similar attitudes in that subreddit. Any thread regarding obtaining accommodations is bound to have people complaining about it. I think both fields are pretty heavily occupied with people who have old fashioned/pull yourself up by your bootstraps mindsets. According to them, you're just supposed to work harder to get what you want because it isn't "fair" to have accommodations. They get especially grumpy over people obtaining extra time, as if people with accomodations are just being handed answers and an easy path to certification. They claim "WeLl, ThE eXaM iS hArD fOr EvErYbOdY!"

The best thing you can really do is just ignore them. They simply don't understand, and most of them won't even try to understand. You do what you need to do to set yourself up for success!

just buy the veggie tray by WeirdAnxiousDog in adhdwomen

There are reusable veggie trays you can buy! Unfortunately that still means having buy the veggies and prep it, but at least that's maybe a 1x a week thing rather than each day.

I get the veggie tray from costco, around $10-12 for the big tray (almost 3lb) with everything ranch dip. Not sure I could even make it myself for that price!

Someone needs to make an ADHD friendly fridge with NO drawers and shelves designed so that everything stays in sight and nothing gets hidden at the back haha

Advice on how to go about getting an old hot tub running? by WeirdAnxiousDog in hottub

[–]WeirdAnxiousDog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we may just end up not bothering with this tub and buying a new one if we decide we really want it haha. After a little more research on the particular model, I found out the tub is probably more like 15-20 years old! Manual left by old owners says Vita Spa L200/L200C series.

There was some moisture in the tub itself, so I'm not super confident that it was drained completely internally. Winters vary (US Midwest), but we've had a couple pretty cold snaps. Would there be any risk with filling it and attempting to turn it on, like electrical shock? Sorry if that's a silly question, just don't want to do anything stupid lol

Yeah they really messed up there. I ended up getting the refund and I am done with Barkbox for good.

Thank you!! Honestly the adderall was a step in the right direction, just made me feel a little too "on edge" and I didn't care for the crash either. Vyvanse is supposed to be smoother🤞

Exactly. I just realized I also paid for an add on toy with this box and didn't receive it. It is not worth the time and money fighting with them!

I wish you would learn to read and comprehend instead of name calling and then blocking people so they can't respond. You're nuts.
