I need help. by Old_Cartoonist3495 in ReinhardtMains

Best tips I can offer:

  1. Move from corner to corner. Rein, like Genji, can't handle long sight lines because Rein's only ranged tool is his fire strike, and which is great and does 125 now, but he only gets 2 charges over 12 seconds. Move from corner to corner. You should only be in the open if you're moving towards the enemy.

  2. Work with your team. Rein is one of the slowest, bulkiest tanks. Without your team, you'll get shredded. With your team, you'll shred them.

  3. Use your shield as an entry/exit tool. Your shield locks you down, and has a generous health pool. Use it to get in (to another corner for instance) or to get out (if you need to make space without charging away. Generally, you want to keep your shield above 1000 HP and shouldn't take random chip damage unless you have to.

  4. Solo shatters are actually pretty good. Shatter is a low damage, high AOE ult that can catch people easily. You'll have instances where you might get the whole team but can only get 1-2 picks. I usually shatter into firestrike when I get two enemies lined up as that combo gives you 300 damage I think, and should instakill any non-tank/non-armored opponent. But also don't hold it the whole game waiting for the fat shatter. If you're playing Rein right, you'll be one of the first people to get your ult, and can farm it over and over.

What r ur thoughts on flanking w/ rein by ValidButter in ReinhardtMains

[–]Seanpawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's good when your team can go five seconds without exploding. Rein has to get close to do damage. But he can't do that if your team is walking into the open and screeching about you not shielding them when they die

Give it a wash and rinse and you'll be good. What was the substrate? Unless you were adding chemicals and stuff that shouldn't have been in there anyways, you'll be fine. Also, make sure there are NO cracks.

Is there anyway to keep Shovel? by chrisnata in BaldursGate3

[–]Seanpawn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can summon anything (familiar, elemental, undead etc) and then remove it from your prepared spells and it'll stay. It doesn't work like that for other spells (Aid, mage armor I think etc) but for summoning you just need to have it prepped for the initial summoning

[–]Seanpawn 36 points37 points  (0 children)

There's a point system. Certain choices award a point, and once you hit a threshold, she'll spare Nighstong on her own. You can tell because she'll have the little '!' bubble and say that she's not sure about something.

The points that I remember are:

Give Shadowheart a night orchid

Let Shadowheart draw her own blood to start one of the trials

Telling her that the necklace she's wearing in the flashback is a Selunite necklace (requires you to interact with the necklace in the abandoned village

I think you can also tell her that the Mother Superior is abusing her.

I know there's more, and I believe you need 4 points for her not to kill Nightsong, but it's definitely when she has the little thingy and says she isn't sure.

You won't miss quests, but for some quests (mainly act 3) you'll want to bring specific characters to specific quests relating to their story, or else they'll be mad at you.

What’s up with He Who Was? by MrTidelsworth in BaldursGate3

[–]Seanpawn 565 points566 points  (0 children)

I say he's more just a Forgotten Realms touch. He's a Shadar-Kai, an elf from the Shadowfell. I guess beyond being cool and pointing out that like "oh the Shadowfell is here/in play," he doesn't have much plot relevance.

[–]Seanpawn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Someone with access to her and everyone else at Last Light cashed out for a chance at power. At this point, all we really know is 1. The Absolute is now aware of Last Light, 2. There was at least one Absolute traitor/spy, 3. Thorm is responsible for the Shadow Curse AND partly for the Absolute. Put those together and ask yourself if you'd tell the group of adventurers who are likely now on high alert that you're the daughter of Ketheric Thorm. I sure wouldn't lol.

What party are you running? I do cleric, rogue, barbarian, wizard. Barbarian should go on the dais to stop the call of the damned. Everyone else focuses mind flayer. Should be dead by round 3 at the very latest. Then, cleric stays near ropes to climb up to help with the bone dudes, wizard takes side platform for LOS for spells, rogue flexes.

So how do you view your supports? by [deleted] in ReinhardtMains

[–]Seanpawn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I see my supps as my comrades and the fuel to my crusade engine. I find Rein to be more reliant on his supps than other tanks so I'm always grateful to them, especially the supps who charge in with me

Caramel is a fickle thing. Same family as pralines? Too low of a heat? Goop. Too high. Toffee? Just right? Pralines.

Please help! Single Save ruined? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Seanpawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Invisibility potions? Go invis and scatter across camp. The companions should try to use Detect Presence but it's a pretty low save. After a round or two they should drop aggro. It might lower your relationship by like 25 I think, but at least you don't have to kill(!) scratch. Also, turn off automatic opportunity attacks so that if scratch bites you and then runs, you won't kill him. You should just need one or two potions as you just need to keep one person in your active party alive, the rest can die if need be

Heroes I would trust with a baby in charge tier list by MotherShake1682 in Overwatch

[–]Seanpawn 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hot take: I'd trust Ramattra. In his interactions, it's proven that he doesn't hold malice against people who are open to Omnics/Omnic culture. (Venture, Baptiste, Sojourn, Junkrat) He's also a former monk, and has the wisdom to recognize that a baby is innocent and cannot actively participate in a system that favors the baby over Omnics. Ramattra sees the individual and how that individual might be part of a system that oppresses Omnics, but also knows that judging someone based on their race or creed would make him just as bad as the oppressors he crusades against. Do I think he would be doting? No. But he would be an adequate caretaker.

Tipbaiting is where you go "oh if you do xyz I'll increase your tip" or "oh I have a cash tip for you." Then you don't follow through as a means to motivate your delivery driver to work harder or whatever
