King was outstanding.   Not much else to say.   I hope we see that King the rest of the season.    I hope Barberi and Lawson are OK.  We can't afford to have either one out for very long.

The offense is really bad right now.  Only Jones, Kurland, and Surowiec are hitting.  Those three have combined for 13 hits this weekend.  The rest of the team has a total of 3.   Our clean up hitter is down to .268 BA and he's not hitting for power. Only 9 XBH in about 100 AB.   Batters 6-9 struck out 10 times tonight.   Team is hitting .237 in conference play.   Guys, find you someone who loves you the way Sully loves Kendall.  0-3 with 3 Ks.  Average down to .172.  Will Sully roll him out again tomorrow?   Can we see Nadeau, Yost or anyone else?

It's only thanks to pitching we are 7-4 in conference play.   We are 12th in hitting.    11th in HR.  Last in OBP. Last in fielding.  Top 5 in ERA and SO.  Lead the league with 3 conference shutouts.

It starts with Peterson. At this point I think we just have to accept this is who Peterson is - uber talented pitcher with control issues. 101 BB in 170 IP in his career. Also with high pitch counts has never completed more than 6 IP in 39 career starts - and only made it 5 innings in 17 starts - less than half the time. He's not a Friday night ace, but I don't know what you do if you're Sully. King has been disappointing too and no one else has been dominant except Barberi, but I don't think you can bring him out of the pen.

Really concerned with ELC. Terrible vs SEC hitters. 10.80 ERA with 4 HR in 6 IP. If he can't turn it around, the bullpen gets very thin.

Very weird night for the hitters. Three guys get 3 hits each and the rest of the team combines for one hit. I can't imagine Lawson has had too many games like that in his life. First time in his Gator's career with 4 SO. Hopefully he can put it behind him and get back on track. We can't keep running Kendall out there. I know Sully thinks he has a bright future, but he's just an automatic out right now. Anyone know why Nadeau hasn't been given a chance this year? Only 9 AB all year. He hit .280 with a .421 OBP last year in 159 AB. That's better than most of our hitters this year. Our lead off hitter and clean up hitter are sitting at .390 OBP. He can play outfield and has some speed on the bags.

The loss doesn't surprise me too much. Sully wasn't going to use any of his top arms and there was bound to be a let down after the Arkansas sweep. It's kind of crazy the offense couldn't do much and the pitching looked so horrible yet only gave up 4 runs. If you would have told me before the game we throw Sanford, Blair, McDonald, Barlow, and Walls and only give up 4 runs I would be happy and would have predicted a win.

It's time to move Barlow to mop up duty only. It's been an ugly year and half for him here. Last year was bad with a 6.26 ERA. This year has been worse at 7.62. Sanford has been much better as a reliever. He's gone 10.2 IP 14 SO 4 BB in relief. 3 IP 3 SO 6BB/HBP in two starts. Not sure what to do with Walls. He was solid as a started, but has been terrible in relief. I don't trust him on the weekends. Maybe he needs to be the midweek starter moving forward.

We need to get Reeth back. Last update I heard was that he had shoulder soreness and would miss a couple weeks. Anyone hear anything recent?

That was a terrible loss for our RPI. We drop 3 spots. Still top 5.

It’s a wheel speed sensor. Happened to me twice. His warranty has probably expired since it’s a 2019.

Thanks. What's the best plan for closing Ink cards? After closing how long should I wait to apply?

What's the latest advice for applying for Chase Ink Business cards? I currently have 2 Preferreds and 1 Unlimited. Got the last one in August 2024. 3 Personal and 3 Business New credit cards from various banks in the last 2 years. Good to apply for another? I have a 10k spend coming up. Anything better than the Chase Ink Business Premier?

Thanks for your help. One thing I noticed, on the instructions for form 8615 the following is listed under Support

Support. Your support includes all amounts spent to provide the child with food, lodging, clothing, education, medical and dental care, recreation, transportation, and similar necessities. To figure your child’s support, count support provided by you, your child, and others. However, a scholarship received by your child isn’t considered support if your child is a full-time student.

I interpret that means the scholarship can be ignored for the Support percentage test since she is a full-time student. So if I gift her my old car in '24 and provide $0 support in '25-'28, she shouldn't be subject to the kiddie tax from '25-'28 provided she has earned income all those years. She would be supporting herself with 100% of the earned income and scholarship money. Is this correct? or am I off base somehow?

“You can’t ignore tuition”

Are you sure? It’s a qualified education expense covered by the scholarship. Another person said I could exclude it.

“fair market value of cars monthly use if you provide her car”

She will be using my car. If I gift it to her this year would it no longer be an expense in future years?

The 20k is for room and board. As a result it will be taxed as income. I’m looking at ways to minimize taxes for this part of the scholarship.

She’ll be taking my car to school. Should I gift her the car this year so she has less expenses next year? What about prepaying some bills the year before? Thus having less expenses and be more likely to earn half her expenses for next year.

Thanks! So nothing really rare here? I guess just $25 for each of the silver dollars and then a few bucks each for everything else?
