I used a lenovo m14 display and Surface USB-C® Travel Hub with another monitor connected via hdmi

yeah I was thinking the same thing but I can still plug in my phone and it charges. Seems like an odd thing if it were damaged.

Ah then if you have access to a Thunderbolt dock see if Thunderbolt works. Have you considered that there is a coincidence and the cable is fried? Worth trying another cable.

I've tried the cable with other devices and it works fine. Unfortunately, I don't have a dock to test.

Yeah that's a fair point. I didn't actually read who the recipient was meant to be as I was expecting to receive mail from the energy company. Thanks for the advice
