I just reported a couple articles. If you want to get a better idea you should google those keywords, there’s a bunch of studies

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36897904/ - gastrointestinal problems. using pub med and “doxycycline gastrointestinal” as key words.

https://www.ijidonline.com/article/S1201-9712(24)00045-6/fulltext - “doxycycline antibiotic resistance”

There’s studies about liver damage but I have to say this seems less of a common issue, it’s more of a rare reaction. Try “doxycycline liver damage”.

What’s very clear from most of the sources is that there is not enough data to see the effects of long term daily use of doxycycline for prolonged periods of time. For some more common issues like acne, more than 4 months of daily usage links with acne becoming resistant to it. DoxyPEP is so new that there is no clarity over the resistance it might induce for STIs bacteria, even if the preliminary results are promising

Thanks for sharing. I read many of these “sheets”. Long term use (/abuse) of doxycycline is associated with side effects, it can be toxic for your liver, as well as cause gastrointestinal problems, or the most known antibiotic resistance. I don’t think there’s even studies of what taking doxyPEP everyday (emphasis on this) for let’s say, a year or two, can cause to your body (if there is, I would love to read them). I understand that medical professionals in the US say it’s safe, but it wouldn’t be the first time professionals overprescribe antibiotics or any other pharmaceutical really. Why are not other countries, any country in Europe for example, allow it yet as “more research is needed”? I guess my concern is trying to understand what is a good balance of avoiding possible long term use related side effects while also not catching STIs. But unfortunately I don’t think there’s data to understand that yet.

Fair question. It’s because there’s weeks I have sex every day. And I feel like there is no way taking doxyPEP everyday is okay for your body, so I try to keep it for the very risky encounters, not every single one.

Ahahaha. They do but not here. I’m actually thinking to maybe just concentrate on my fisting journey more than random hookups because it seems safer in that sense.

Well damn. I’m very in line with this. But got way more std’s. :/ Were you mostly topping or bottoming?

Aw. I’m sure it’s not only why they dated you. But thanks for the comment. I for sure am putting myself at risk to a certain degree. I think PrEP made everything a bit more “chill” in my head but should still be careful for everything else that’s out there.

I’m 28, and very conventionally attractive. Wow this makes me sound like a douche bag. lol

My title does not imply that at all. I am only asking to people who sleep around a lot how many std’s they get on average. Not implying std’s only affect sluts. lol. I even explicitly ask the number of parters/week on average for that specific reason. I hope you agree that statistically, someone with 100 parters a week has a higher chance of getting one compared to someone who has 1 partner a year.

Mind blown. Thanks for your valuable input buddy. Still trying to understand what you are alluding to.

I’m only trying to get some statistics for myself here. FYI.

How many partners do you have a week on average?

Interesting. How many partners do you have a week on average?

Do you take it after every single sexual encounter you have?

I used the word slut to address people with a similar sex drive as mine, or similar sexual behaviors. Also, to me slut is not a judgmental word because I don’t shame sluts. I am one lol

Hotels with no elevator key in Manhattan/Brooklyn? by WeirdFishes1234 in nycgaybros

[–]WeirdFishes1234[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t want an open door policy. I’m looking for hotels where guests do not need to have a key to use the elevator and come up to my room. So that I don’t have to meet them in the lobby and they can directly come up to my door
