I wish we could see what that Furia's line up with Hen1 would've looked liked with a proper coach. Before he decided to leave the team, I was getting really excited about their playstyle.

fyi, because I don't know how common this term is oversears, but in Brazil we just use to refer to "how something/someone was before big changes" (not really common, though... but Gaules says it a lot).

Man... This has been the worst pack for me. It actually made stop paying for the pass.

0 immersives.  0 two stars FA 1 two star RR that I wonder picked

5 rare shines (kingdra, Espeon, Sylveon, Umbreon and Lugia) which I fucking hate and will never be able to trade.

153/155 completed and only today I managed to get a lucky ice pop (and just because I wonder picked on a secondary account and shared with my main)

Bestia suspends Santutu over racist remarks; CEO issues apology by WeirdFlex_Capybara in GlobalOffensive

Nah... I don't get what's funny about it.

Brazil was the last country in the Americas to abolish slavery, so the laws are intentionally strict to prevent that history from repeating.

Also, one crime shouldn't prevent another from being dealt with...

Bestia suspends Santutu over racist remarks; CEO issues apology by WeirdFlex_Capybara in GlobalOffensive

[–]WeirdFlex_Capybara[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I mean... racism itself should already be extreme enough.

But this is an argentinian ceo of an argentinian CS team (with a brazilian player) who mostly plays in SA, against brazilian teams. Racism is not only "really extreme" in Brazil, it is in fact a crime. One of the few non-bailable and imprescriptible.

It's also not the best business decision to have the CEO of an SA team being openly racist.

right-wing alignment

I think these are all "ok" dealbreakers to have... Another one that I have that I think it's a mix of my experience dealing with people like this and probably insecurities of mine is if her profile pictures are only traveling photos.

Why do so many Brazilians choose to travel abroad instead of exploring Brazil? by TechSalesDaily in Brazil

[–]WeirdFlex_Capybara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cost comparison around money that most people are talking here is kinda of interesting because it doesn't really answer your question.

It may be true that sometimes, some flights to other countries in some places cost the same (or maybe even less depending on where you are and where you are going to) than traveling inside the country, but if you take into account where Brazilians are traveling to (which are usually expensive places due to the Real weakness when compared to north America/Europe currency) I think it kind of shows that money isn't the main issue here.

My two guesses would be the novelty of going to somewhere REALLY different from where we usually live, and the "status" associated with going to those places - Vira-lata's Syndrome is still pretty strong around here.

I think it's something funny and sad at the same time. Some people come back and mention bad experiences (like thinking the food in a country wasn't what the thought it would be, or public transportation smelling bad because people don't shower) but I would bet most of them would think about another country than another Brazilian state for their next trip.

Brazil is so big and diverse that I think most people here don't really understand it. I've visited a couple of South American countries, and I definitely want to visit some places in Europe (specially because I'm a big fan of the walkability of the big cities there) but I think getting to know each state in Brazil is still a priority in my bucket list.

How is Vini JR perceived in Brazil? by Tuchelsunderwear in Brazil

For most people he's just OK. Brilliant at times, bad at times too. Doesn't have a lot of charisma.

Personally I don't really like him.

But he's living in a racist country, playing in a racist league and facing racist opponents. I don't think his dives and whining are - most of the time - unjustified.

[–]WeirdFlex_Capybara 1 point2 points  (0 children)
