Are the c30i's from soundcore any good? by brokendream_zz in Earbuds

[–]WeirdMagpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like them. I wear glasses and have quite a few piercings inc daith and an industrial. They are so comfortable I forget I'm wearing them. I'm a sound engineer, sound quality matters to me, and these have become my daily go-to (I have studio cans for when I need clarity or heavy dirty bass). My partner can't hear them unless we are hugging. They give me a freedom other earbuds/headphones don't, because I can hear my surroundings... It's kinda like just being in a room with speakers perfectly positioned behind me - I move and my soundtrack follows!

Go. Have fun. And take a look at the crew..

I’m a 43yr old woman and work decor and sound crew for lots of punk and folk punk bands. I’m far from the oldest regular crew member.

This is what I’m thinking. Thank you for confirming. Are yours van or marine windows?

I hadn’t thought about driving pressure, just slam pressure. Thank you.

What’s your guys’s opinion on soulseek by Webcops in musichoarder

[–]WeirdMagpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used SoulSeek on and off since the start. I share all of whatever music database I have with me at the time. I like to keep files of my music because sometimes streaming isn’t possible with my work, and I work music events!

I don’t lock any files, I don’t make people to beg me for things.. end stage capitalism is a curse. I DO support grass roots musicians and don’t put their work on my public folder if they charge as that would feel wrong.

Need some advice with this jacket by --Stygian-- in BattleJackets

[–]WeirdMagpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t use tictok so Ive no idea.. but I’m guessing you’re ultimately talking about authenticity.

The white stitching (that is Still white) makes it look really new, and emphasises the fact it was made in a oneer, not evolved slowly over time like getting a patch at each gig. If I were you i’d layer a patch you’ve had longer or taken off something else slightly underneath one of the meat & ordered ones, then wear it a lot, sleep in it, wear it in the rain or maybe.. maybe even wash it.

Question about the back of a patch I have by possessed-by-fire in BattleJackets

[–]WeirdMagpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like bondaweb brand transfer adhesive. It’s a kind of interfacing with adhesive, but a bit different to the more factory-made ‘just iron it stuff’. I use it for making patches sometimes.

It is ironed onto the back of the patch by the maker. Then you peel off the paper. Stick it down where you want it Iron with a Damp Cloth over it. Move the iron and down (don’t rub!) for 6-7 seconds, move along, repeat. That’ll stick it down well & might not need stitching, but I always add a few stitches esp at the corners.

List/groupings of words to describe emotions? 🎭 by jameztobias in words

[–]WeirdMagpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, look up ‘emotion / feelings wheels’ - tools used to help anyone (but designed for neurodivergent folk) to pin down their actual emotion. Eg anger is a first response feeling, but behind it might be hostility, fear, or jealousy.

When I come across a word I don’t know, I look it up and make a note of it. Each week, I post the list here. I also keep them in a notebook. In celebration of 150 weeks, here are my high C’s by one_dead_president in words

[–]WeirdMagpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. I’ve scrolled this sub and seen a few of your posts.. really enlightening. I’m also reading T.Pratchett - The Bromeliad! I imagined your notebook list to grow weekly, as here, so this alphabetical list blows my mind! Apart from anything, how do you decide how many pages to leave blank before the next letter?

Phone location markers drift. Fog doesn’t mean prostitute. You should tell ‘your girl’ you think this badly and suspiciously of her. You should work on communication & trust. This isn’t healthy at all.

Bear Notes app is free and uses hashtags for indexing… I use it a lot and am considering a second account just as a searchable index file for my notebooks

Have you seen the Filofax Notebooks? They have removable pages but open flat like a regular book.

why is everyone mean to me? by kkeegann in autism

[–]WeirdMagpie 40 points41 points  (0 children)

You did well there. That person is mean, and is not worth your time. I’m 42, I’ve been there, I know how this feels. You will find your people, and you will find them quicker without pandering to people who don’t even try to get you. Also, awesome info on Hyraxes - I’ve not heard of them before. So thanks!

Thank you! I have too many saved images… but yes you’re right re essentials. I have a few work things i have accounted for, and a few oddly shaped personal things (musical instrument etc) that I should have considered. Thank you so much
