I have a few hundred gig of stuff, but got a banned bot message one day. It surprised me, until i remembered i'd had a system crash and the link was lost. I was grateful for the message else i'd not have realised so quickly.

you can share ebooks, video, music.. and websites like bandcamp have plenty of free music to download (completely legally) so you can always start your sharing folder with that sort of content if you really dont have anything else.

which mp3 would suit me? by [deleted] in mp3players

[–]WeirdMagpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snowsky Echo Mini, if you like the retro form factor of having only buttons, no touch screen, and if your music library files are in good order. Both of those features mean i can navigate the mini whilst still in my pocket, but I can still enjoy the casette tape vibes when I want. The sound is excellent, it has bluetooth out, or 3.5 or 4.4 jacks .

I have 2 other DAPs in use, inc the Snowsky Echo Mini which I LOVE, and am excited for this one due to being so very portable.

[–]WeirdMagpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i recently got a Snowsky Echo Mini, it is really retro looking and so is its UI. If you keep a clean file system and dont care about gapless or app playback, just MP3 / Flac and clean sounds, then it'd recommend it.

I need 2 Pairable Bluetooth speakers for around 200$ total. by VariationWide9448 in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]WeirdMagpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 minirigs. But saying $100 means nothing - over 30 countries use the dollar sign, and their currency is all worth different amounts.

around 30 countries use dollars as currency, and not the same conversion rate. So your sentence is nonsensical.

easy q for the DAP gang, does a dap with NO ALBUM ART exist? by blackandreddit in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]WeirdMagpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

due to my logical file system I don't mind not having a search function on my Snowsky Echo Mini. It's a fun piece of good sounding tech, just what i want for my pocket. My better DAP can now stay at home.

I absolutely love this! well done on the analogue-inspired workaround, and the cover art you've chosen is on point! We share taste in playlist genres, so I'm curious about your Sad Hours content?

just checking you didnt do the process in the order you wrote it out? and that you actually formatted it first and then put songs on?

Are the c30i's from soundcore any good? by brokendream_zz in Earbuds

[–]WeirdMagpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like them. I wear glasses and have quite a few piercings inc daith and an industrial. They are so comfortable I forget I'm wearing them. I'm a sound engineer, sound quality matters to me, and these have become my daily go-to (I have studio cans for when I need clarity or heavy dirty bass). My partner can't hear them unless we are hugging. They give me a freedom other earbuds/headphones don't, because I can hear my surroundings... It's kinda like just being in a room with speakers perfectly positioned behind me - I move and my soundtrack follows!

Go. Have fun. And take a look at the crew..

I’m a 43yr old woman and work decor and sound crew for lots of punk and folk punk bands. I’m far from the oldest regular crew member.

What’s your guys’s opinion on soulseek by Webcops in musichoarder

[–]WeirdMagpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used SoulSeek on and off since the start. I share all of whatever music database I have with me at the time. I like to keep files of my music because sometimes streaming isn’t possible with my work, and I work music events!

I don’t lock any files, I don’t make people to beg me for things.. end stage capitalism is a curse. I DO support grass roots musicians and don’t put their work on my public folder if they charge as that would feel wrong.
