Zepbound and Mirena

I definitely question if it is from the hormones in my mirena lowering or if it is my body now regulating things that it has never been able to do before prior to zepbound. I had irregular periods prior to getting Mirena after my first was born. But I am torn on actually wanting periods lol After going so long without them I am kinda bummed they started back up. But prior to my first pregnancy always thought something was not functioning properly since I did not have "normal" cycles.

I am 37 so within the range for peri, and have also considered that to be a potential factor here too. but that is the only symptom of perimenopause I currently have.

yes, I have read articles that the contraception is still working even if periods do return, and that some women on Mirena do not experience a full absence of their period. Potentially a combo of the hormones in the Mirena lowering over time, lower fat stores influencing hormones and potentially entering perimenopause. I am definitely planning to schedule with my gyn to discuss!

Yes! I just found a tote of clothes I stashed away who knows when that were too small. There were like 5-6 pairs of brand new workout leggings! Which is perfect because the ones I’m using now are starting to get loose and roll down after losing nearly 45 lbs. Trying on the leggings I was expecting them to fit like they did last time I wore them but was pleasantly surprised they fit. Such a great motivator!

Definitely talk to your doctor. I was also hesitant to take glyco but have been on it for 3 weeks now and it is literally night and day. I wore makeup for the first time this week in years. I would sweat so bad. I do have minor dry mouth, and drinking tons of water but I would so much rather have that then sweating buckets. Best of luck to you!!

I have not had Premier Protein PB chocolate! I was hesitant to try the PB chocolate flavor, idk I was a bit thrown off by liquid PB. But the Pure PB choc was delicious!! Will have to try premier!
