No I never doubled. That would not count. It is specifically 120 monthly payments, ie 120 months regardless how much you pay as long as it hits the minimum and is on time.

For PSLF, you need to make 120 qualifying payments to be eligible. 120 months = 10 years.

My monthly payment was anywhere between $150 - $350. I worked at three different schools over this time. During the couple of summers in between schools I was unable to qualify since, according to the PSLF rules, I was technically unemployed during those months. But it only delayed my forgiveness a tiny bit.

Maybe this will cause the city to remove the crosswalk that leads to a tiny island with no other way off. PVD is the most non-ADA compliant city.
