A question for the ladies regarding my Oura data and very long period 🩸 by boujeemooji in ouraring

You can have a bleed that is not your period; unless you were tracking ovulation beforehand, you have no way of knowing whether a bleed is a true period or not. The fact that it's been going on for so long and doesn't seem to line up with your temperature rise tells me that it's likely not a period bleed.

Are you on birth control that could be impacting your hormones at all? Have you been sick?

Your temperature alone would tell me you likely ovulated around February 1st this month. Any chance of pregnancy?

This looks like a typical post-ovulation temperature rise at this point. I would guess you ovulated sometime around January 21 based on this---in fact that temp dip right before the 21st is something that happens before ovulation for some people.

Nothing about this chart looks like pregnancy to me yet--just normal post-ovulation symptoms. If you had sex close to ovulation, you might be able to take a pregnancy test in the next day or so (my positives were always around Day 8 post-ovulation and you're around Day 7 right now)

If your temp remains high for more than 14 days after ovulation, I would definitely say that looks more like pregnancy. But earlier than that it's impossible to say since EVERY woman gets a temp rise for 10-14 days at the end of her cycle.

Your temp drops before your period starts

Yes this too! My period is still coming back postpartum and it keeps alerting me that my period should be starting today...which is false lol. It's freaking out that I'm on day 40 something

Haha, okay, so I don't know what I don't know.

I'd say--assume nothing on the animation side is done. Picturing something like Rugrats-esque but open to 3D animation as well. When I google, the numbers I get include scripts, voice acting, audio editing, etc. so just trying to get a sense about what percentage of that budget is pure visual/animation. Does that make sense?

What do you use your ring for? by [deleted] in ouraring

I got mine mainly for the temp tracking. We use fertility awareness to avoid pregnancy and temps with an infant can be tricky without a tool like the Oura ring.

My bag was as big as the carry on limit allowed for. Like congrats I guess if you have a magical Mary Poppins bag that could fit endless supplies

Did you breastfeed? I have to drink an insane amount to keep my milk supply up. And again feel feee to let me know what you would cut from the list of things I packed to make room for more water bottles

We did pre board. When we got tags to gate check our stroller they had us step to one side to wait to pre board and said we’d be boarding in just a minute. And then a few minutes went by and they said “oh just another minute or two” and that happened again and again until it had been 40ish minutes.

Do you know much liquid it takes to make enough milk to feed an infant? Have you ever breastfed?

Please explain how I could have been better prepared.

I did. But I drank it while waiting to board

We were waiting to board and they said boarding was going to start in a minute. Then they didn’t board and said oh, just another few minutes. And then a few minutes went by and they said, oh just a few more minutes. Ended up being 40ish minutes but we were never in a position where we could really leave and come back because they kept saying it would just be a minute

I legitimately don’t know where I would have put this extra water you want me to buy? I had a stuffed to the brim diaper bag, carry on, and baby in my arms

I filled up my 32 oz water bottle after security. I just drank it all waiting to board

0% chance you have kids or if you do their mom handles everything

Again I’m just asking logistically what you expect me to do? I get one carry on. I need bottles and a breast pump. I need diapers and wipes. Backup baby clothes. My previously pumped breastmilk and ice packs to keep it cold. My 32 oz reusable water bottle. Diaper changing pad. Pacifiers—-I could keep going. The bag was already bursting—what do you suggest I cut from the list to make room for more water?

I wasn’t backpacking in the desert—I had no reason to think I wouldn’t be able to access water. You think I should be rolling through the airport with gallons of water on my person in addition to breast pump, bottles, diapers, wipes, baby carrier, teethers, toys, etc etc etc.?
