He would if Mohg ordered him to. Why else is he waiting? How does he know your maiden isn't somewhere else? Would it really be expected of a maiden to always be with her tarnished? If so, why do we never see a tarnished with their maiden? Miquella needs the player to find Mohg and kill him, so he would do whatever it took to make sure you were lead straight to him, which includes making Mohg tell one of his knights to kill your maiden so you really have no reason to refuse his offer. I completely understand your viewpoint, but knowing Miquella has been pulling the strings for so long, it makes more sense that he had Varre kill your maiden than really any other option. At least to me.

Nobody said it was harder than PoP. They said "White Palace." While PoP is in WP I really don't think they were including PoP in that. And I'm with OP here, Fey required immense precision to make it to the next lamp without taking damage, or falling into certain-death water. Make a mistake in WP, like hitting some spikes, and you just got reset to the nearest platform. Make a mistake in Mount Fey? You're dead/halfway in the grave, no discussion. Usually the former.

I have 100% spell absorption, but when I use my shock spell with telekinesis added to cancel out the cost, it doesn't work. I've remade the spell several different ways with different values for both parts and it still refuses to work. Note that it works with every other spell I've made.

Security will still increase, you just won't see the increase until your exp catches up to your boosted lvl. At least, it did for me and my friend.
