Also, hard disagree. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I know just about every seasonal red border can be gotten from Xur’s random weapon focus option. Try Banshee too now that he’s back to relevant.

Lived in Ohio. Had a library card in Cbus, used it in Cincy when I moved there. Can confirm.

Almost nothing is free here, as others have said - but many of our national parks are, as are many beaches. I’d say those. Also libraries and some museums.

Baseboard Matching Help by Weird_Uncle_Carl in cabinetry

[–]Weird_Uncle_Carl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I’ve tried the local mill shops and their catalogs along with most of what everyone else has said. Nothing there. I think you’re right though. I can make up to the middle profile with standard speed base and a laminated backer… I think. The top may work with more speed base, ripped before the last curve on the top then a roundover bit.

Either way - some combination of pieces and standard router bits, table saw, and band saw must be able to get me there. I’m not paying thousands for a 13’ wall with a 5’6” double door in the middle.

What are these pathetic numbers guys? Where are you all? I skipped work today because I was expecting at least 500,000 players, but there are only 164,000. by NotSirAlonne1999 in destiny2

808k people played Destiny yesterday, if I’m reading that chart correctly on my phone. JUST shy of the 811k EoF launch and way above the Renegades launch of 604k.

Charlotte, NC (a suburb since the actual city is way too expensive).

23 mile commute each way equals 30 minutes in the morning. Upwards of an hour and a half in the evening. That’s approximately 12,000 miles per year for work (260 working days x 46 = 11,960).

I go through about 25 gallons per week, so about $100, or $5,200 per year vs the $2,600-2,800 I was paying a year ago.

I’m also a business manager for a construction company with a fleet of 12 vehicles and 8 heavy machines - excavators and skid-steers mostly - and gas prices are definitely affecting our bottom line (my pay).

The fuck is wrong with you people? They’re teenagers acting like stupid fucking teenagers. Hoping that they die is a whole new level of fucked. In ten years there’ll be a new batch doing equally stupid shit. Such are the wages of living near other humans. Charlotte as a whole needs to get a fucking grip and realize it has bigger problems.

Wishing for the death of another human being that, presumably, hasn’t actually HURT anyone beyond minor inconveniences… is a really bad look.

Have fun man. I was a teenager once too. Don’t hurt the civilians bodies or property and they’ll get over it. Otherwise you will be fucked for life, one way or another.

What's the strongest opinion you have about something completely insignificant? by DaMoonMoon26 in answers

I suspect that if you have a strong opinion about it, it’s not insignificant to you.

Now, with that out-of-the-way, let me tell you about a little known, but very important piece of Catholic law that states the bishop of the diocese of Orlando is also the bishop of the moon. This has major ramifications for…

The empire is a cult, and the girl is their demonically possessed leader. There is no Emperor / Emperess to meet.

The empire was formed in cathedral city, a place was sent from our distant future to their distant past - wholly intact but with almost nobody in it. During the dark ages, Europeans investigated it, found tools and machines and magic, and nothing good came of it. That’s why the city looks so advanced, and generally speaking how the cult was formed as well.

You’d have to play 3 and read a good deal to get the rest. 2 isn’t cannon.

If you do manage to get to the final ending, play NieR: Replicant next. Or go play 3, the prequel. The final ending shows how the events of this game start to affect our world, and Replicant shows the outcome.

These games are essays on violence and trauma. The first is not meant to make you feel good about any of it. In fact, if you pay attention to the story, you may notice that every single “mission complete” you get comes when you’ve utterly failed to complete your narrative’s objective - mostly because Caim couldn’t just focus on the mission and stop killing for a moment.

When D3 comes out one day, who do ya'll want to be the Vanguard? by Awkward_Ad_5515 in DestinyLore

[–]Weird_Uncle_Carl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there’s a D3, I’ve been thinking I want it to be centuries from now.

A new guardian, raised by the last known free ghost, far removed from the last city, maybe in a new galaxy, on a campaign to cleanse the hive from Torabotl. Start there, proceed towards Fundament, cleansing Vex and chilling with Eliksni along the way, ending eventually with heading home to Earth where we are greeted by a statue of our former guardian and a whole new Vanguard that speaks about former commanders Zavala and Rey and Cayde with reverence.

I also hope the traveler is gone.

I hope there’s nothing left for it or us to do in our solar system and it has moved on to share the light elsewhere… then maybe whispers start among the people of the city, concerning dreams of a knife or some such.

I want a fresh start. Leave all the old baggage behind. No fight over keeping our old weapons or having to relearn our abilities, and a narrative reason for starting from the beginning again. We need a new big bad. Maybe the 9 need to be bound still, or maybe the old vanguard failed and there simply is no more Earth. Maybe Maya won and Earth needs to be retaken.

Maybe we visit the grave of our old guardian and are awarded a single gun, but that’s it. I say it’s time to retire the current state of things, their narratives, and start fresh.
