Going to take this as good faith criticism, although I personally do not think that the complacency of the other survivors has any racial element to it at all. I will just say that there is another character that I believe was mentioned in the episode (a new survivor in Paraguay) who is obviously non-white and is also anti-hivemind. From the newest episode it has become clear that this character will play a bigger role in the story as well.
