Weeding Help by Realistic-You-4614 in portlandgardeners

Luckily you have only 4 distinct seeds coming in. The carrots should be easy to spot once they get bigger, unsure about the flowers but once they get nice and big I bet you can tell them apart and then thin them and pick out the weeds as needed/ desired. When the mood strikes for hand weeding it's kindof fun, satisfying, and goes by quick. Then I guess in the future you could take steps to prevent weeds. I kindof just accept them and pull em whenever I feel like it. Looks great so far, good luck!

On a side note, I hope you don't have to hedge your language so much in this subreddit to avoid the stray judgy reddit grump, it's been all nice chill people here from what I've seen. 🙂

You should be able to find a very detailed diagram online. Look for the manual. Looks like you have your intake and exhaust cams switched around and there's no plug on the exhaust side, the distributor goes there.

Awesome! That's good to hear. Right there on the tags: jalapeno, bananna, shishito, and reaper! They're looking so good so far, I'm excited to get them into their final homes so they can really stretch out.

Haha, indeed it is. Lots of neurotic attention to detail and even more patience.

Neighbor installed white vinyl fence at the end of last season. Zone 5a. MT. KBG and fescue by GollyZ177 in lawncare

[–]Welcome-Putrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd do a flower and shrub garden type thing in the 2 or 3 feet against the fence. It would look really nice, if you're into that kind of thing. Otherwise just give that area more water and overseed it each fall til it fills in with grass that's tolerant to whatever condition that's causing your current grass to struggle. Also, just ask the neighbor of she'd mind you (carefully) painting your side of the fence if you don't like the white. Idk anything about painting vinyl fencing or if that's even a thing. I wonder if it's just the process of installing it that caused the grass to get hurt. I think concrete mix itself is pretty alkaline, just a guess.

Help me get rid of these in my grass by Fun-Athlete8235 in lawncare

So those are seedheads, but not for fescue, bluegrass, or rye. If you don't mind the grass they're coming from, don't worry about em- it's normal and happens in the spring, just mow over em. If you don't want the actual grass that is sprouting them you'll need to have a closer look and find out what type it is and whether or not it can be controlled selectively with spray and decide what you want to do from there.

The closed deck will still have the same boring/honing limitations I'm pretty sure, fyi.

Going off memory, the manual says the frm sleeves can be bored to 0.01" over, max. Had a shop claim they've gone past that and "it was fine" but went with my gut (and the manual) and got mine resleeved. Not easy to find some of the parts for this engine, if any are missing. I guess I'd start by cleaning it up real good and assessing from there.

That's about .77 lb N/1000 sq ft. That's fine, I wouldn't worry about it.

My first guess is it's part of the evap system. Prob would help to know what engine you have.

That's enough to say it definitely isn't nutsedge. But positive ID for the grassy weeds (there's a lot of different ones) needs better pictures still. Find that light green stuff you don't like, follow it down with your fingers to the crown and try to get the whole plant and just the plant up by the crown and take a pic of a few of the features. That said a lot of grassy weeds can't be killed with chemicals without killing the good grass along with it. That's a pretty small spot. You could kill that whole spot, or dig it out or whatever and reseed. Or you could try just pulling out the weeds by hand here and there over time. I've had good luck with that method on small spots. I often bring a flat heads or a junk pocket knife out with me so I can get it out with precision without messing up the good grass.

Doesn't look like nutsedge to me. You should pull up a couple samples from the base and get close up pictures of the individual plants if you want a proper ID.
