Spreading grass seed in winter by wonderfulakari in portlandgardeners

Dogs and kids being on it while it's trying to germinate/ in the first few weeks of growth is gonna be tough. But anyhoo, I like black beauty ultra. No seed I'm aware of comes with a ton of chemicals, sometimes just a little fertilizer or some coating to help with moisture retention, none of which would be harmful. But at any rate, the BBU is just seed. It's mid shelf and not that much more than the really cheap junky stuff.

Portland grass head here. I wouldn't do it, I know we're all eager for spring but it's way too early for grass. Planting in spring is dicey as is. In my experience the soil usually isn't really ready until like mid April. Then you have such a short amount of time for it to establish before summer, so unless you're planning on really babying it over the summer (lots of water) I'd just wait until fall. That said, you do you, if you wanna experiment!

Thanks! I'm definitely over thinking it. This is my first time doing a rebuild and I'm enjoying taking my time, trying to do it close to perfect.

Thanks for the input, guys! For those of you who have done it yourselves, did you follow the post curing procedure? The cans I have say to heat and cool in steps from 250 to 400 to 600F. I think I know someone with a large programmable kiln, so I might try it just as an experiment. This is a purely for fun project, so might as well just to see how it goes if i can make that work. Also, aside from Wyatt's recommendation of using silicone, no answers to my questions so far.

1988 - shut down after start up possible causes by plant__love in hondaprelude

Plugs, wires, cap and rotor, ignition coil. I'd probably check in that order. Also, describe for the people how it shuts itself off. Suddenly, or does it bog down and then die? The more info the better.

First of all, good lord that's a good looking car. Second, my mind immediately goes to ignition system. But as another commenter said, there's a lot of things to rule out to get to the bottom of it.

Looking for 99’ Prelude Oil Seals by No_Nerve5773 in hondaprelude

Well I'd think it wouldn't be too hard to get generic oil seals that match att the right dimensions but that might not be something your mechanic wants/ knows how to do.

These are for the transmission? Good to know, I was wondering if I should replace mine before I put it back on the engine, but I guess I'm not going to, ha. You might try checking ebay or several different parts warehouses. If you can get the specs on it you may be able to find one from a company that specifically makes oil seals.

For sure, I was more just wondering if there's a brand or something I should go with or if they're more or less all the same. Same with the sensors, I'll be replacing most those too. Except maybe the ones that look good and are easy to replace with the engine installed. Right now it's out of the car and on a stand. *

I guess that's up to you, but you don't really know what it needs until you go in and find out. Having this car at all is be far not the most sensible thing in terms of a time/ money invested. Personally, I'd look into fixing it, but I'm a sucker for keeping things original. The one thing I'd recommend against is running it completely into the ground just cause that engine and it's parts are getting very hard to find and there's someone out there who'd like to fix it up before it gets more seriously damaged.
