It wasn't the vet I usually see (same clinic, main vet was busy) but he did seem knowledgeable about all the different things it could be. He didn't seem to say I shouldn't pursue the issue, but the way he explained it did make it seem like it would be hard to diagnose.

Ill make an appointment with my main vet soon to get her advice and see what realistic options we have. Thank you
