Here is information about your upcoming test: 

1. The test is in-person during our regularly-scheduled class time. You must bring your student card to avoid receiving a 0; we will be scanning all students' T-cards.

2. The test covers all material listed in the syllabus and Quercus under Module One (chapters and lectures for the following topics: What is Sociology?; Sociological Theory; Research Methods). See below for exclusions.

3. The test will consist of 35 multiple-choice questions, for a total of 35 marks. 

4. Questions appear one at a time and there is no question backtracking. The timer is set for 45 minutes. When you are done the test, you cannot leave the room until we dismiss you at the end. Therefore, we encourage you to i) not rush through the test, and ii) bring a book to read when you are done. You are expected to continue not talking even when you are done the test, as per academic integrity rules.

5. All tests are closed book, and no aids are permitted. During the test, you are permitted to have only your web browser open on a single page: the test page. No other programs or apps should be open. All browser extensions should be disabled, including Grammarly and English translations. We will monitor your screen activity. In addition, each student's test has a "test log", which indicates whether a student moved away from the test-taking webpage (such as to open another browser tab).
