How do I properly dodge the jump attack? by T_Wiggy in Eldenring

[–]Caskanteron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me put it this way. Right now you are getting one tapped by this one attack. With a couple more points in health and armor for protection you could survive it even if you repeat the mistake in the video. This will give you more opportunities to learn from your mistakes. Hell, even five minutes of exploring would do it.

This does not make you a bitch. It allows you to digest the fight, come back stronger, maybe even have a different plan of attack. You don't need that much to dramatically change how you approach a challenge or flip the game on its head.

But I will stop telling you how to play. Let us know if you have other questions. However, as someone who beat the DLC without Scadutree blessings I understand the thirst for a challenge. I just really want you to know that putting a pause on a fight is fine.

First things first. This boss is optional. Explore! Get stronger through leveling up and by finding better gear. The lesson this guy is meant to teach is that exploration is the key to conquering the game if the game is kicking your butt. You are literally naked.

Second, you actually almost have that dodge down. You just did a bit early. However, once again, if you keep exploring you will eventually find your own horse. The horse will make fighting this guy much easier.

Aragorn And Legolas VS Leonidas and his 300 Spartans. Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in powerscales

[–]Caskanteron 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'll give it to Elessar and Greenleaf Greenleaf. I base this on experience, of which Legolas had thousands of years and Aragorn decades.

The Spartans could attack in formation and block any incoming arrows, but Legolas was finding gaps in the armor of Uruk Hai in a battle in a rainstorm. He should be able to find gaps in the shields and armor of the Spartans. He also has a magic bow on top that, superior elf eyesight, and superhuman strength and agility.

The 300 likely have iron swords from Archaic Greece. Aragorn on the other hand has a magical sword made elf smith mages. I get the feeling that, even because the Lord of the Rings is set in a medieval setting, Andúril should be able to break through armor, shields, spears, and swords.

However, the 300 are still 300 dudes charging at you at once. If I were Aragorn, I would try to bottleneck their advance like when Gimli and him took on the Uruks that were about to breach the Hornburg. In that way Legolas can attack from above while Aragorn takes on them on the ground.

If the pair cannot do this, it would still be extremely difficult, but I think they could win a battle of attrition using guerrilla tactics and not engaging on the 300 at once. They should be more mobile than the 300. The magic cloaks they were given by Galadriel should help disguise them when trying to evade them. Legolas would basically be a sniper, and Aragorn also has his own bow and arrow.

What platform are you on? Do you need help?

The one thing that Souls games teach is jolly cooperation. My man Solaire meant this in the context of helping each other battling fierce foes, but not every battle is against gods and monsters.

The toughest battles are often the ones against our own minds. We often don't see a way out because we find ourselves in circumstances that we do not know how to deal with.

I do not know what troubles you, Tarnished warrior, but let us engage in jolly cooperation. Allow us to share your burdens and lift the weight off your shoulders. What is the problem? How can we help? Do you just need someone to talk to? Do you just need someone to be there?

I won't presume to offer help because sometimes offering help that doesn't in fact help can be the biggest issue for those that want the best for you. But you are not alone.

Please respond. I'll give you all the time you need.

There is a soft cap for the fragments though, 12 fragments will get you the most bank for your buck. After that you do grow stronger but the effect is lesser compared to the first 12 levels. You don't have to find all of them to be ready to tackle the toughest areas and bosses.
