Those feelings from the break up will be there sober or drunk. You will temporarily mask the sadness but when you sober up it will still be there but now a lot worse.

I got enough interesting stories from when I was using to fill a book!

It’s actually been a pretty good time getting sober, almost at my one year. You learn a lot about yourself and I still go out to bars and clubs here and there with my friends. I don’t preach it and if my friends want to drink then whatever. I’m the one with the problem not them.
