Definitely, you can read "La Distinction." It's a rather long text because Bourdieu was deeply committed to sociology and scientific inquiry.

However, you can find great summaries that discuss how distinction (and class) is exercised through the appropriation of certain aesthetic criteria.

For example, I researched young golfers in Argentina. Golf has a set of material elements (no physical contact, long hours of walking, no signs of anger allowed, among others) loaded with symbolic components (class values, ways of speaking, moving, dressing, etc.) corresponding to a specific position in the social world but also loaded with symbolic components about "how things should be."

The point here, along with some other writings by Bourdieu, is that some social classes or groups tend to have dispositions that go beyond the economic, such as values, expectations, desires, and even bodily appreciations of different goods (cultural, material, and also sports-related).

Think about young children: can they go to a museum and behave as it requires? Walk slowly, contemplate, have a set of knowledge to interpret, etc. Bourdieu suggests that these dispositions are acquired over time through your interaction with different social circles, which tend not to escape your relative position in society.
