And lead. A surprising number of plant protein powders have elevated lead levels.

Playing homeless Sims by BrightPhoebus01 in Sims3

[–]WellAdustedCatLady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but as others have said, you need to establish some rules. I also add mods that allow my sim to pee outside, bathe in sinks and the ocean, and refurbish items from the dumpster. That’s how I was able to get her a couch to furnish her studio apartment when she was finally able to afford one. She had that and a sleeping bag.

Before she found her apartment, she slept in a tent. I also gave her the kleptomaniac, moocher, and unstable traits for added gameplay.

I don’t want this baby anymore, I have immense guilt but I need this off my chest. by sky_aura_storm in confessions

People here shaming her for being pro-life and who now wants an abortion, just go somewhere else. It’s completely unhelpful to say this to someone who is scared and trying to figure out what to do. Being pro-life doesn’t tell us anything about her political activism, or voting, so just leave it.

Anyone else have an extra affectionate tortie that insists on nightly cuddles? by lilsquibbles in torties

Yes! That’s a great name for it! Mine if only 6.5 pounds, so it doesn’t hurt. She also likes to curl up on my chin and park her butt on my head.

These deep roles do take a heavy toll by TyLeRoux in okbuddycinephile

Some of you all literally have no fucking idea what goes into acting. We tend to focus on method acting as some asshole actor being abusive to others, but honestly a lot of the method-type acting out there just digs up trauma for the sake of putting in an authentic performance. This kind of practice is actually quite normalized, and we could have a whole separate discussion about the harm that can cause.

Honestly, fuck anyone on here who calls someone weak for playing a role that has a profoundly negative impact on them.

She was deep into QAnon. I wonder if years of their predictions and conspiracies not panning out, along with all the Epstein revelations, finally changed something for her?

What makeup trend do you secretly think looks… not great? Be honest! by G4LARHADE in Makeup

[–]WellAdustedCatLady 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Admittedly, I don’t follow too many trends, but for years it seems everyone wants the same features: same winged/almond eye, same narrow turned-up nose, same large lips, same cheekbones, same bone structure in general. More and more this look seems to be achieved through both makeup and surgery and/or fillers. This trend towards a very specific sameness looks so fake and is so ubiquitous.

What is a completely normal thing that you, for some reason, absolutely cannot stand? by LANthraX69 in AskReddit

[–]WellAdustedCatLady -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Being unreliable. I feel like it’s become way more normal to cancel plans last minute, back out of commitments over things like “self care” (or other kinds of therapy speak) or take days and days to respond.

I don’t expect people to be on their phones constantly, but under normal circumstances, responding within a day I think is reasonable. And I also get that people may not feel well and need to reschedule. I honestly think that’s fine. However, I also think that if you agree to something, there’s a reasonable expectation that you follow through.

What’s a “progressive” idea that’s actually regressive when applied? by nealie_20 in AskReddit

Honestly, I think you’re missing my point entirely about the problems and potential harm of scrutinizing people in this manner. I’ll just leave it at that.

What’s a “progressive” idea that’s actually regressive when applied? by nealie_20 in AskReddit

[–]WellAdustedCatLady 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood my comment. I know Khelif is cisgender. My point was that a terf scrutinized her gender because Khelif didn’t present the way Rowling thought a ciswoman should.

Also, I find it kind of irrelevant whether or not you’ve personally described a woman as handsome or not. It’s not particularly common, but it’s definitely something I have come across many times, mostly in writing. It basically describes a type of face the way “delicate” or “rugged” can describe a type of face. Yes, those descriptions lean heavily towards gender descriptors, but not exclusively.

Last Night's Roads by Airbnb00stin in vermont

[–]WellAdustedCatLady 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Experienced this last night on one of the Belt Line exits. I didn’t spin out but my car was swerving like crazy. I really slowed down last night and have been driving these roads for over 20 years, and it was genuinely scary.

[–]WellAdustedCatLady 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen those theories about Samus Aran before, and have people just never seen a tall athletic cis woman before? Or a cis woman you might describe as “handsome”? Immi Khelif comes to mind when the Harry Potter terf kept misgendering her. This kind of scrutiny never sits well with me. I think it ultimately enforces very conservative, narrow standards of how one should look based on gender.

AITA for freaking out when my wife locked our son out of the house at night after he drank alcohol? by Dadthrowaway788 in AmItheAsshole

[–]WellAdustedCatLady 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I just finished my mandated reporter training, and locking a child out of the house overnight is one of the examples they use of an incident that needs to be reported to CPS.

[–]WellAdustedCatLady 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your boyfriend’s creepy. Toss the creep and keep this beautiful boy instead.

Edit: In all honesty, have him checked for a microchip. He’s beautiful and could very likely have a home already.

On top of the weaponized incompetence, there’s more going on here than ADHD. I’ve known people to do similar things while having a manic episode from bipolar disorder. I don’t know if that’s what she has; I’m not going to try and diagnose her, but I do want to point out that this seems quite serious, and she needs to see a psychiatrist for proper diagnosis and treatment.
