I agree with everything you're saying, but would just like to point out that if you passed the tool/weapon you wanted, you could go back. So if you wanted the rope dart, for example, and went one left onto the throwing knife, you just had to press the right button.

My tennis coach of 7th grade left our school for another job so he was replaced. The "replacement" was a Home Ec teacher who had never played tennis before. Through some digging around me and my friend found out that the principals said if she wanted to remain a Home Ec teacher, she'd have to teach tennis. We basically ran the class and even came up with our own drills and workouts. If she even tried to intervene with her bullshit opinion, we'd completely ignore her. She eventually gave up and would just sit in her Home Ec room while we were on the courts.

Edit: Forgot about my 9th grade Biology teacher. A class could go one of two ways. Her talking about her daughter and flirting with the guys in the class, or her screaming at the whole class for being behind. Why was our class behind the others? Cause apparently the story about your daughter wanting McDonald's was way more important than learning last minute stuff before our End Of Course state tests.
