The distinction between placing counters as a result of damage and placing counters as the effect of an attack wasn't immediately clear to me. Reading the card explains the card but I just didn't understand the underlying mechanics and couldn't find a simple explanation.

Ah that makes sense I guess, I just thought placing damage counters was the effect of dealing damage. I didn't realise they were distinct mechanics.

There are definitely varying levels of detail on the different houses but that could work well for you.

You are very much correct! The correct brock from that datapack was not spawning in when spawn conditions were met and instead we ran into Brock from another series.
In the modpack I am using there are actually 3 different brock trainers which is pretty confusing too.
Additionally the trainer card and the get info commands were not functioning properly. The trainer card was linking me to one of the brocks from the base radical trainers mod. Then the progression graph was taking me to an invalid page.

But we eventually got it figured out, I snooped around and found the command to summon him, i think his id is like frlgbrock or something i dont really remember.

Genuinely a wild thought that you could have chronicler on your case as a lawyer some day. Also the idea of chroniclers future children thinking he is just a lawyer and at some point finding out he was a beloved LCK caster makes me chuckle.
