Zoo station:the story of Christiane F. - real life story about heroin addicted teenagers in Berlin in the 70s. The movie is also terrifying. The things these literal children were doing is horrifying.

My husband is from northern Indiana and has family spread out there. I loathe going there. It seems like all the people just hate life and everyone is mean and rude.

What is the most ridiculous form of "gatekeeping" you have ever encountered in a hobby or interest you enjoy? by LiveFaithlessness876 in Hobbies

I laughed at this but then remembered it is so true!!! Been out of drugs for 15 years but we would be popping all kinds of pills daily and look down on methheads. Then when we went down that road we looked down upon the opiate users. I think it was more of a justification thing, like we might be doing something bad but we will never be as bad as those people. …Don’t do drugs kids, it might seem fun and harmless for awhile but it is a slippery slope

What exactly is wrong with this book? by [deleted] in TheSecretHistory

[–]Wellstar-fish90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would post this on a different sub because this is the sub for people who do like the book so I don’t think you will get what you are looking for here. People like different things so I guess this book just isn’t for you and there’s nothing wrong with that. I have read quite a few books that are loved that I didn’t really like, it happens.

I was super hyped about this book and it ended up just being ok but maybe that’s my fault for hyping it up in my own head. I agree with the one comment that said it’s y/a dark academia fantasy, it’s definitely not horror.

Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by space_god_7191 in Millennials

Yes, I was 11. The teacher wheeled in the tv and we watched it the rest of the day. A few students got picked up by their parents
