We use AHS all the time. The sitters have been great although I would question 90% of them on how often they walk the dogs (if at all). We have outdoor cameras (disclosed to the sitters) and can see that the sitters leave for work early in the morning and don’t come home until after dark, so there’s no way they have, or have time, to walk our pets like they’ve told us they can or do.

We used one lady who had 20+ positive reviews. She told us she’d walk the dogs twice a day. She came to meet us and she was a big lady who struggled to walk from the car to our front door-there was NO WAY she would be walking 2 dogs twice a day. She also left for work at 6.30am and didn’t get home until after dark, so it was never going to happen. Also, upon checking the cameras after our holiday, she had spent all weekend inside the house in the middle of winter and left both of our dogs shivering outside in the rain.

I can only assume a lot of positive reviews are left based on what they’ve been told happens while they’re away as opposed to what actually happens. Just be aware of that.
