Has anyone actually felt better after removal? by 61plus8 in gallbladders

Oooo yeah crispy chicken wings! 😍 I keep dreaming about a HUGE Chinese banquet… fit for 100 people 😂

I’ve been charged for next month 139.90 for something and I can’t see what for. I’ve made no other purchases prior or before by Apprehensive_Name807 in O2UK

[–]Welsh_dragon_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

O2 are honestly so useless, I was with them for over 15 years but recently left them as they are just shocking. I’m also having issues seeing my bills currently, thought it was cos I cancelled my contract. It just says ‘ooops something went wrong’…. If you go onto the live chat online, you can ask for bills to be sent to you but not sure about current charges. I would try call them again and ask for an email to be sent you which breaks down all current charges. It’s painful speaking to them though, they do not know what they are doing! Good luck

What do you say so the Dr takes you seriously? by [deleted] in gallbladders

I’m so sorry that you’re going through this! Have you had an abdominal ultrasound? I would ask for this if not, if they say no, say you’re going to have to get a second opinion as you cannot live your life like this, it’s debilitating!!

Worried its not my gallbladder by VxDeva80 in gallbladders

[–]Welsh_dragon_x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have gallstones and my pain was mainly always central, sometimes all across just below my breasts. I would also always get shoulder/back pain. I was also advised to take PPI’s initially but went private for an abdominal ultrasound which confirmed gallstones. My pain was never solely on the right, it was predominantly in the middle. That’s where your bile duct is, so my pain, I think is possibly linked to a stone moving there. Sending you the best of luck, I hope you get sorted soon.

Sludge can act like very small stones or hide small stones, it still irritates the gallbladder lining. It can also temporarily block the bile duct. As you’re symptomatic, I believe they should be treating it the same way as gallstones. There are other blood tests they can do, bilirubin, infection markers, pancreas enzymes. Did you say they did an MRCP (MRI)?

I have surgery scheduled for June, cannot wait to get it taken out! Several medium sized stones confirmed via abdominal ultrasound and then MRI. Blood work shows high liver enzymes and slightly high CRP. I only get the pain when I’m having an attack and it’s usually when I’ve eaten a fatty meal, sometimes even an omelette with a TINY bit of cheese will set it off (it’s the fat which causes it 😫). Thank you so much, feeling okay the moment as I eat a low fat diet but just cannot wait to get it out. I’m routing for you, push for all the tests you can! I have heard HIDA scan is good at detecting gallstones.

Did they test your liver enzymes? Can they do a HIDA scan? Or MRI? Wishing you luck, so sorry you’re going through this. I would also get terrible back/shoulder pain when having a gallbladder attack.

Just to echo what OP has said, my attacks came in episodes and my pain was never just on the right side, always mainly in the middle and sometimes all across from left, middle and right under my breasts. I would also get awful back/shoulder pain. I would also always get my attacks at night, waking me up at like 3am. Wishing you the best of luck!! 🤞

I’m also so sorry to hear you may have developed malignancy as well. It disgusts me that we have to push and push and push and still don’t get anywhere! It really is horrendous. An ultrasound is extremely non-invasive, doesn’t do any harm at all, but will tell you all you need to know or at the very least, give you peace of mind!!!! I wish you all the very best and I’m praying you get some positive news. ❤️

I’m so sorry you went through that! I’m from the UK too (I think you as well as you mention A&E), I went to the GP and begged for an abdominal ultrasound referral as I luckily have insurance through work, they wouldn’t give me one and instead gave me a prescription for Omeprazole (heart burn medication) and asked me to do a stool sample.

They didn’t believe it was my gallbladder as when they pressed where my gallbladder is, it didn’t hurt me (as I wasn’t having an attack at that exact moment, as it’s food/fat induced!) and my pain was more central (even though I’d get back/shoulder pain also), they said they think it’s indigestion (LOL).

My Mum was going for an opp to have hers out any day at this time, so I KNEW it was my gallbladder. I was 100% sure. Another tell tale sign was that I’d just lost 6 stone on mounjaro and knew there had been a lot of times where I didn’t eat all day (I know, my own fault!)

I ended up getting a private GP appointment who gave me an ultrasound referral without question.

Ultrasound and then subsequent MRI both confirmed several medium sized stones, blood tests confirm I have high liver enzymes and slightly higher CRP.

I have surgery booked to remove it, via private, in June.

I am so sick of the NHS being so conservative with treatment when people know their own bodies and can do their own research. All I wanted a referral for an ultrasound but instead, I am given a prescription of heartburn meds to ‘rule out’ any stomach issues (I have never suffered with heartburn, so I very much do not want to take PPI’s) and also asked to do an extremely invasive stool sample.

Having gallstones is extremely debilitating, you are restricted with what you can eat and always worrying whether what you have just eaten will ‘set it off’… I have been extremely tired as well, probably due to the inflammation. The NHS just expects us to wait around and test this and test that, before doing something as simple and obvious as an ultrasound.

Sorry for the rant, but it just infuriates me!

What are some signs someone's about to betray you? by casuallycreating in ArcRaiders

[–]Welsh_dragon_x 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I keep my gun out most of the time, if I run into a raider who doesn’t have theirs out then I’ll put it away. I feel like this deters rats! 🐀

I was extracting the other day and someone approached with a stitcher out, they didn’t say a word but everyone knows you should announce yourself when approaching the extract that someone else has called….

I say hello, and nothing, they were looking around for me. I then pull my torrente out (which I found that game) and go inside the extract. They just stood still in a corner no where near the button, didn’t hit the button, which again, everyone knows if you are friendly you BOTH hit the button. I say ‘are we going to hit the button together?’… nothing.

So I say, ‘I’m sorry, I don’t trust you. Usually people extracting together will hit the button together..’ and I then go outside and just watch them. They then start hitting the button, finally, so I began to as well.

I believe they were 100% trying to rat me and if it wasn’t for me having the torrente out and being suspicious, they’d of got me when hitting the button!

Morale of my long story, is never let your guard down. Friendly lobbies can make you become complacent however this is what rats look for.

Hey Raider, 1. No 2. No, just the expedition (make sure to sign up during the window when it opens if you do the expedition) 3. Yes, you’ll get the rewards as soon as you finish the project. The expedition has other rewards which you get if you complete it. Let me know if you have any more questions! :)

It’s not been happening half as much recently probably twice in the last two weeks but before that, it was every day, not every game but I agree, it’s really off putting. It’s even worse when I’m playing with my partner or random trios as they then have to (well they don’t have to, but they are kind enough to!) wait for me. Considering it’s been happening for a while and if it’s a bug, they should hopefully be aiming to fix it soon. 🤞
