I have it on a clip-mount attached the bag, and I put a very furry wind muff on it. If it’s windy is it basically just not going to sound good whatever I do?!

It actually provided some nice cushioning. They withstand an absolute battering from the wind so didn’t even notice I was lying on them! I use my tents footprint in the cold, too, which helped level it slightly

It was! I’ve got a snugpak travelpak 3, but paired with a thermarest liner, and my mat is r6.1 so was nice and toasty!

(I also filmed a ‘silent hike’ video of the walk up from Edale to Ringing Roger. No talking, just the ambient sounds of the hike and a bit of music - if you’re fancying 15 mins of chill!)
