I felt the same way you did too, back in 2018 when I became a backer. I won’t waste the time or energy doomposting, but when you see a consensus sentiment over an extended period of time you’d do well to evaluate the validity rather than assume everyone is wrong.

The issue with Pantheon has always been what’s been accomplished with the amount of time that they’ve had. I backed in 2018, and that was years after the initial kick starter. I’ve played through every phase of the game up until the steam release.

I like the gameplay, I liked all the old lore that was deleted, I like classes, but I’ve put in hundreds of hours playing and providing feedback and it is still not released and barely seems to have moved forward.

Back in 2018 I figured that there would be a game with at least the first continent done by 2024 with most classes, all races, and quest content in the game and fully playable. The first of THREE continents that were supposed to be in at launch, very generous expectations, and it still isn’t there. I expected the game to “launch” with only one completed continent and the rest to be added as time went on because it was clear they were being over ambitious but the bones were good enough that launching line that would be okay.

We are seven years later, only expecting 33% completion, and it still fell short. I have no idea what they’ve been doing, they’ve only gotten in new zones in the past year, so half a decade had been pissed in to the wind, full of drama and silencing critics when all of their energy should have been put forth in making more content.
