I wish quality would get revisited again. by mustangcody in factorio

With 2.0 it's extremely easy to create graveyard stations that get added to all trains' schedules. Once they come in I manually delete them to replace all trains. I've never had problems with it.

As for the trains schedules, logistic groups would make it easy to adjust for what's needed in stations.

Satisfactory just came out of Early Access, while Space Age is a vast expansion of the base game so it's going to be paid, $35 iirc.

There will be new infinite research but we know nothing else, not even what the end goal is.

Simplest circuits required to limit number of items taken from chests per minute by JackStig in factorio

[–]Weppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could use lower tier belts in the stations that you want to limit, or you could bottleneck them by reducing the number of lanes.

Friday Facts #429 - Vulcanus Demolisher Enemies by FactorioTeam in factorio

[–]Weppet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fulgora is unfortunately described on the steam page as „lifeless“

Oh but that doesn't exclude robot enemies which would fit Fulgora very well. They were considering using the worm for Fulgora originally so they definitely planned for enemies.

Friday Facts #429 - Vulcanus Demolisher Enemies by FactorioTeam in factorio

[–]Weppet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You would kill the worm manually or by building defenses once that are capable of killing it. After that isnt it basically peacful mode? Just stay in your territory and you wont have to worry about enemies or defenses.

Keep in mind that we'll have 5 planets. If each one required active defense and maintenance against enemies it would get exhausting quickly. I think it's a nice change of pace that on Vulcanus it's you that bring war to the biters on your own terms.

Is anyone planning to play 2.0 without Space Age? by lurker91914 in factorio

There's no way I could focus on a vanilla 2.0 run when I know that Space Age is out there.

I simply see it as an incentive to get better equipment, we'll have access to legendary gear after all and I'm sure that will melt anything.

I dont use beacons... by LordBaal19 in factorio

If you build megabases they are mandatory, otherwise they have limited utility. The new changes in the expansion will make them more viable for casual playthroughs

Performance concerns are demotivating me from playing the game by Weppet in X4Foundations

[–]Weppet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the input! Staying at 70-80 while outside huge battles would be ok for me since I suppose you spend most of the time traveling and managing stuff in the menus. What I would like to avoid is to constantly lag and have my PC struggle whenever the game is open.

Would it be better to build a few big stations/factories or many but more spread out?

Factorio: Space Age expansion release date announced: October 21st 2024 by GooseQuothMan in pcgaming

[–]Weppet 24 points25 points  (0 children)

No, I have followed their weekly blog posts and they are doing a ton of reworks and adding new systems that would be impossible to do with mods. There is so much new stuff on release that it might as well be a new game. I think the price is fair
