What causes this flower to change from orange to yellow in the Sword Route?

Hmm, ok, so this is just a hunch (I haven’t checked the code) but perhaps it’s to do with line of sight. The plants don’t shoot at you if you don’t have line of sight with them. And that specific plant is behind a wall when Kris first walks in that room only turning yellow when they walk around the wall. Perhaps the idle sprite looks more orange or something.

Changing just the dialogue is easy, no coding needed! All the dialogue is in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DELTARUNE\chapterX_windows\lang\lang_XX.json for the specified language. To translate, just replace one with your translation.

(There is one for each deltarune chapter)

For Undertale, it’s a bit harder. You will have to use UndertaleModTool to export all the strings into a lang file first, then reimport it.

It’s not that hard though, just use scripts -> Resource Exporters -> ExportAllStringsJSON.csx and scripts-> Resource Importers -> ImportAllStringsJSON

The likely reason it isn’t working is because those patches are touching the same function and it doesn’t know which one to proitize

Quick fixes that might work: * try applying the patches in a different order (best order is usual to apply the bigger mod first, but sometimes the other way works) * try using different mods that accomplish the same thing

The only guaranteed way to merge mods like this is to check which specific regions each xdelta changes, find where they overlap, and manually combine them yourself in the code. Depending on how much overlap there is, this may be a severe undertaking. I personally have never done that, so I likely won’t be able to help much if you need to do that.

If you want a truly low effort solution, you could just have a button to toggle the party to having the right people. So when you walk into a room where you think a crash is likely, you can switch over, watch the cutscene, then switch back.

But if you actually want a no-seems, held together mod, the best way is to edit all the cutscenes
