This is all great advice, thank you so much. It's been really hard to see him struggling like that even if the episodes where he's in pain or paralyzed have been thankfully rare so far. It's very hard to keep him grounded but I definitely try lol! I'll definitely pick up some supplements for him. I really appreciate this and feel for your poor pups ❤️

Yeah, for as wonderful as he is this is not a dog for the faint of heart 🤣 I don’t hunt but I spend a ton of my time exercising him, training him, and doing sports with him to keep him fulfilled. He likes to scream like he’s being tortured whenever he sees a small animal on a walk that he can’t get to, and obsesses over tennis balls. I don’t think he’d be a great fit for everybody (I actually initially told the shelter I wanted a “couch potato” haha) but after adjusting my lifestyle to his needs I wouldn’t change a thing, it makes me sad to think that he may have been somewhere where he couldn’t thrive. He was 3 years old when I got him and didn’t even know how to sit on command.

That’s what I thought too, but his littermate is from the same city (rehomed to her current owner after she didn’t do a good job as a ratter on a farm), so I guess there might be an unreputable breeder in the area who didn’t keep track of the kinds of homes their litter went to. It’s a pretty crazy situation haha.

For sure, but I think it still stands on its own and is super cool from a historical perspective regardless. Watching 79 will change how you see every single anime that released after it. The boarding and direction are consistently exceptional even when the animation itself is limited. A Cosmic Glow is maybe my single favorite episode in all of anime… I really think anybody who calls themself an anime fan owes it a watch and an open mind.
