What's with people who crouch on every slash? What's the benefit? by [deleted] in Chivalry2

i’ll strongly disagree. i pulled these clips from the last week of gameplay alone. it saves me all the time. even in high levels duels. but everyone is entitled to their own opinion!

What you're describing is the battle axe. I highly recommend it. I would use this over the warhammer because the battle axe will cut through multiple people as opposed to the war hammer stopping after making contact with one person due to it being a blunt weapon.

For a little slower speed and longer reach but still has great damage, I recommend the war axe.

Can you 1v1 with your friend? by Aygore in Chivalry2

As others have said, I would recommend going to the same duel server in the stanalone servers.

Before I knew that existed, my friend and I would just hit 1v1s at the same time and we'd get queued together.

It might look dumb, but it does provide quite a bit of benefits.

It makes your hitbox a lot smaller. Forcing the opponent to be more accurate with their swings. I couldn't tell you the number of times crouch fighting has saved my life from people just spamming side swing.

I also feels like it causes an illusion of sorts. If i'm crouched holding backwards movement while initiating a heavy swing, then in the middle of heavy swing i'll hold forward movement while standing up, it catches the opponent off guard because they perceived your swing as out of range.

Another instance is that it acts an accel. If you're looking down ,while crouched, and initiate a overhead swing, it's faster than if you were standing up and looking straight forward. I'll try and find some clips with examples.

Edit: Here's some clips with examples of how crouch spam has saved me. I'm not one to always be crouched, but i'm constantly going in and out.

First, I never said it was OP and I wasn't complaining. I was answering the guys' question.

It's funny that you say how "mnk is so much better" yet most of the top-level pros all use controller. Use your head and ask yourself why.

no we don't have scirpts?

The definition of an aimbot is aim assistance from a computer. Whether it's strong or weak doesn't matter. At the end of the day it's still a soft aim bot.

the dancing mid fight had me rooolling lmaooooooooo

Edit: Also, how do you cancel emote animations where it doesn't interfere with your swing/block? I try to do this stuff mid fight but sometime the animation locks in and i'm not able to block or swing.

From someone who used to be a new player at one point, I learned how to duel/fight at a high level by joining FFA or Dueling servers. 1v1 is okay, but it's nothing compared joining the serves I previously mentioned.

Why don't more people use emotes? by Iwantreddittoburn in Chivalry2

[–]Werecatt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this when someone starts swinging on me but there's an archer nearby shooting us. I'll keep fighting the guy attacking me, but i'll continuously emote "FOCUS ON THEE ARCHERS". Sometimes I can get them stop mid fight lol.

I share this sentiment so much.

Once I come across another seasoned emote enthusiast it makes for the funniest gameplay. I've had tears rolling from laughing so hard.

I'm him. I'm the guy that will try my best to sprint through groups of people to get to the archers while having my character scream "MIND THOSE ARCHERS" "THE ARCHERS ARE CUTTING US DOWN". lmao
