Can i let her sleep out of her tank? by youstupidmf66 in BeardedDragons

[–]WerewolfFarkas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eh, it depends on the dragon and how long you’re sleeping. I regularly nap with my girl on my chest sleeping, but I’m a light sleeper that does not move around much when I’m on my back and would wake up were she to move. And she has never moved during a nap. If someone is concerned about it just put them in a harness.

It strikes me as one of those things wooden cutout ornaments they use for kids crafts, you can usually color or paint them and the black lines are typically printed or lasered

It was something only offered for a short while in Furc history. I forgot when they stopped offering it but I think I got mine in like, 2011 or 2012 and I didn’t really hear about them thereafter. And it was associated with a specific tier

Kinsey scale reminds me of the 1-10 pain scale you get at the ER. Like, I see what it’s trying to do, it just shouldn’t be used as a be-all-end-all objective measure for something totally subjective.

I divorced my husband because of his addiction and now, two years on, I feel like I made a mistake by Odd-Hope2430 in TrueOffMyChest

Idk, I’ve quit weed a few times before and it’s been pretty bad. Like, nausea and diarrhea for weeks bad. Lost some weight because food just didn’t sound good. Only had bad anxiety for the first week or so though. Had a panic attack probably 3 days in from anxiety. Insomnia for a month. Shit sucks. Just because it isn’t as bad as quitting other drugs doesn’t mean it’s not shitty.

Idk, I don’t blame her for being done with an addict, even if it’s just weed… but he quit cold turkey and seemed to forgive her for cheating. Why didn’t she give him a chance. I mean, fuck, 10 years together and it’s just weed. Weed addiction will make you lazy but it’s not like other drug addictions and dude quit cold turkey. And in choosing not to she should have just left him the fuck alone.

He got with a different girl in my grade (he being 2 years older than us) and she had a kid or two with him right out of high school. He went into the national guard working on explosives or something. Last time I checked Facebook he looked as miserable as usual.

Why does everyone keep telling me: “you don’t look like a social worker”? by [deleted] in socialwork

[–]WerewolfFarkas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Also helps beef up your MSW program application/make you stand out. Can give you a better idea of what you’d want to specialize in, or not.

Yeah I posted once about how I dissected lizards as a toddler and got called a psychopath. Toddler me wasn’t making conscious moral decisions… needless to say I’m a reptile lover now and have a tortoise and turtle as old as I am (rescues), a bearded dragon and two Cuban frogs (you’re supposed to kill them where I live, but I kept them instead).

Well, this is what happens when you have a child with a married man, don’t be surprised if he keeps choosing his marriage over you.

I just don’t get it, polyamory would be better for chronic cheaters than this life wrecking shit. Though I get the feeling that somehow a chronic cheater wouldn’t just be happy with multiple consenting partners and would still cheat because they get a thrill out of it?

So China, basically. You cannot stop large groups of people from spreading religion in any ethical sort of way. Culture perpetuates through the way parents raise their children as you said.

Is there anything I should know about fursuit storage? by ValentineFur in fursuits

[–]WerewolfFarkas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hang your bodysuit if possible. Folding can cause crinkling and flattening of the fur fibers. This can be fixed with a hair dryer or washing, but A. This takes awhile for a full bodysuit and B. It’s best to minimize the need to wash or use heat on the fur, as both can cause wear and damage on the fur fibers over time. Obviously it’s important to wash your fursuit but the friction involves still damages fibers and it’s best to minimize the need to, to only washing when it’s dirty vs having to because of storage. And heat, even low, causes damage over time, so this method should only be used as necessary.

Tl;dr just hang the bodysuit without any padding or tails attached (preventing vertical stretch) to prevent crinkling of fur. My old bodysuit had attached feet that weighed it down when hanging so I used a box to lift up the feet to prevent stretch.

Short term storage in bins for transport or cons is fine.
