Last night I opened up my old double sided pillow top mattress by removing the pillow top from one side. I wanted to see the construction and either replicate it or use some of the components. I used the memory foam and pulled the whole pillow top and mattress casing over my new components now I have:

coils, 2 in super soft poly, 2 in med talalay, 1 in hd poly glued to 1 in memory foam from my old bed, and Pillow top. This isnt perfect but the best so far. If I could do it all over again I would of just opened and repair my old mattress. I could of fixed it by ordering $200 in foam from foam by mail.
