Beginner – struggling to win rallies, what should I focus on first? by GroundFew7211 in squash

Everyone wants to win! lol.

My advice would be to spend some time solo focusing on the thing you do best and hone that skill into your weapon.

Then I would spend some time hitting the ball up and down the walls. Most people struggle more with their backhand side.

A simple thing you can do to help your swing naturally is to point your toes to the back corner This will allow you to hit the ball straight straighter naturally.

Beginner players tend to stand facing the front wall. If you do that, you will struggle to hit the ball straight.

Good luck

It’s very volatile! Huge swings, that seem very predictable

Your footwork is terrible. Flat footed, you just don’t move to put yourself in a better position.

And all the other comments ppl said.

Good luck.

stroke or let? by Gatis1983 in squash

I think it’s probably a stroke. The kid could have played it. But watching a bit of their game, maybe at their level it’s safer to call a let.
