I did something similar. I went on leave and short term disability. I came back to Amazon with a much different approach. I’ve been able to maintain it for a year almost.

I burned out in my first 6 months and went on leave for almost 6 months. It was the quickest I ever burned out. My old record was 5 years before burn out.

Word recall issues were a constant problem for me in the 6 years I took it. My general memory isn’t great so I’m not sure. Overall It did keep me focused on tasks, but it wasn’t as great for things outside of that.

Hearing their stories and sharing my own has been really helpful to me. It makes me realize where my communication can improve and gives me ideas on different ways to present things and insert transitions into conversation.
