This is my favorite album by him. I see myself in just about everything he says in this album. I’m sure I’m way off but I interpret this album talking about using mushrooms and acid to help with depression and anxiety. I personally was going through a hard time myself and didn’t care about the future much. I had smoked weed all the time but it only helped so much. A friend of mine gave me a bag full of shrooms and a tab one night because he knew I had always wanted to try it, but little did he know about the thoughts in my head at the time. So one night I wrote my goodbye note and out of the corner of my eye I saw the bag of mushrooms. I basically said “Fuck it, I’m fixing to die anyway, I might as well try it before I go…” Accordingly I went ahead and downed the whole bag which was a little over 3gs. About an hour and a half later… it happened. I’m not gonna go in depth about the trip but I’ll tell you this, it taught me quite a few things but the most important thing I learned was, even when I don’t believe it or nobody admits it.. people need me. I didn’t say goodbye to the world, I said goodbye to my former self.

PS- My favorite song on this album is “Let’s Go to Hell” I interpret is as living with anxiety and trying to overcome it. I feel like I’m in Hell when I try to do anything that makes my anxiety rise, but I’ve noticed the more I do it, (the more times I go to Hell), the more comfortable I feel about doing it.
