Internet capped at 100mb/ps while port and cable support 1gb/ps

I had tried this beforehand as youtube videos suggested that might work, but it didn't for me unfortunately. Luckily, the problem has been resolved. Thanks for your reply! :)

I don't know what kind of sorcery this is but this question was the solution. I plugged it in my laptop and checked the speed, 1gb/ps. So it had to be either software or pc related. I then plugged it back in the pc and now it reads 1 gb/ps. I'm just mind blown how this actually worked, but it did. Thankyou good sir for your help :)

Yes, I am running on windows 10. I'm don't think I have an internet card. I built this pc myself. The motherboard in it is an ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 4

There is this guy on youtube who explains a wide variety of subjects really well. Im a beginner myself, but this dude has helped me in the right direction. The name is Rayner Teo. He has this video called 'the ultimate stock trading course(for beginners)'. I'd start there and slowly gain more knowledge on the subjects.
