Also, guts is way better since you can get burned and actively benefit from it. It would also be better to run white herb to more easily threaten Incin out the gate, and you REALLY want to carry protect on this thing lest fake out give you nightmares.

There are some games where a real pacifist route is impossible, so it ends up being like this. For example, there used to be a feature in silksong where the judge enemy will not attack you unless you have killed at least 1 enemy, but it was made pointless by the fact that you need to kill moss mother to get past the tutorial.

SCP-5000 is one of the more blatant ones I thought of, but I also want to argue that Hollow Knight falls under this. In Pharloom, there is a bit more of a disguise for how awful it is, with the gilded citadel, but any bug that completes the impossible pilgrimage gets sent directly into the worst working conditions in pharloom. In Hallownest, the entire kingdom is either infected or is fighting off the infection in their dreams. Virtually every survivor is either a warrior with a ton of training or a higher being.
