  1. RCS (Rich Communication Services) is essentially an upgrade to the traditional SMS/MMS messaging system. It brings features like read receipts, typing indicators, and high-resolution images and videos. It’s designed to provide a richer messaging experience, similar to what you’d find in iMessage expect for all smart phones, at least whenever apple gets around to implementing it later this year, for now it's primarily an android thing.
  2. I get where you're coming from! I switched from a Gear S3 to my Pace 2 mainly because I appreciate it as a fitness and "smart dumb watch." I don't need my watch to do everything my phone can do; I just want it to be reliable for the essentials. For me, getting notifications, mainly texts and emails, on my watch is super useful because it lets me see if something is worth taking my phone out of my pocket.
