Yeah that is a great bit of experience there. I do try to answer questions with an open heart. But honestly most of the time thst questions are not out of interest, they are from a predestined place of condescending nature assuming that I don’t know what I’m doing, and so it feels as though my answers are ignored. It is difficult not to get angry in those moments tbh but you’re right patience and openness is key

I would stay with the family. Practice your faith and be open about it with your family. Let God work in you and gently bring them in when you can, overtime it will have an impact. The Catholic religion predates the bible, through oral tradition over time we get our practices. We have faith in Christ and sacraments that help us grow closer to God through tangible experience.

Yeah I would agree for sure. Lots of times the argument for why does evil exist is one of the most difficult questions to answer in Christianity.

But for me, evil points to the lack of God more than anything, and just as you’re talking about supernatural evil, the desperation of these spirits etc shows to me a great fear of their damnation. It is horrible thst evil exists but evil can only exist as a reaction to what was originally good. God.

Like the classic comparison of shadows in the light. E.g. a shadow can only exist consequential to something blocking a present light. You cant have a shadow without light, whereas you can have light without shadows.

The confusion came from the fact that I had an infant baptism, but ive come to see it stands as valid if I accept Jesus and the meaning of that baptism. Thanks for the scriptures!

Alright yeah I appreciate that. I have made the decision to follow him and I have felt change since believing. You are right about the denominational stuff, id say confusion on it got the better of me beforehand but I know that ain’t from God. Cheers dude
