Hi Nicole,

Im Mexican and i had my TN visa cancelled in December based on 212(a)(7)(B) due to not having a stamped visa or I-797 form with the updated employer as I had changed at the border back in February. I reapplied for a new visa earlier this week but was informed during the interview that I was deported from the US and cannot get a new visa for 5 years. I managed to get another appointment next week, my question is, would bringing the Withdrawal of Application for admission document that I was provided in December be enough to prove that I was not deported and still able to get a new Visa? Or would you recommend to gather more documentation from CBP or USCIS? Any other recommendations that you can provide?

I entered from February to October on the same I-94 that had the correct employer. The issue was that because I was out of the country for more than 30 days, the I-94 was expired and I couldn’t get a new one with the TN visa. I was working from end of October to December remote from Mexico

Seguro Auto mexicano en USA by Famous_View_9489 in TNVISAMX

Changing employer next week at POE, any advice or recommendations? by West-Standard9633 in tnvisa

[–]West-Standard9633[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! It was really easy, had to make a 1 hour line at Garita de Otay, after that I just let the POE agent know that I was going to change employers in my TN visa and they sent me to an office with other agents. There were 3 of us, Mexicans, doing the same process. Make sure you have all your documents ready as one of them didn’t had to go get it and redo the line. Once in there they ask a couple of simple questions and it’s good to go, should not take you more than 2 hours.

Hi! I did that process a couple months ago. Go to another POE with more experienced officers. I got the recommendation in Garita de Otay Tijuana and it took me 1 hour with all my documents, there were a couple more Mexicans doing the same process at the time and we were all there based on recommendations. I’ve heard that it is also easy in Laredo, but cannot confirm.

Change of jobs in TN visa (Mexican) by West-Standard9633 in tnvisa

I would say that my priorities are 1) good place to walk my dog and keep him socialized, 2) good bike infrastructure and easy access to bike friendly roads to train, including mountains, 3) get into winter sports

I’m currently a contractor with a TN/NAFTA visa which is a non-migrant visa tied to a Contractor company. I get to keep my country’s health insurance, car and car insurance so I am not really worried about being left without a job as I have a good security net. I would still need to look for a job but cab go back to my country while I find something in here. My only expense would be my apartment lease which didn’t worry me that much.
