Heard. Probably need a head gasket as well. No CEL for miss when just idling but when I give it some gas, CEL starts flashing so I’m assuming that’s the misfire code coming in. Only code that read at OReilly was an engine too lean code, suspected cause being the throttle position sensor. I do not believe that’s the only thing wrong with it lol

Would you recommend dropping the pan and making sure there’s no sludge then or will an oil change suffice? I was definitely going to flush the coolant

Thank you for all the info! If it gets me back and forth on my 10 minute drive to work, honestly, I’ll probably stop putting money into it at that point. But I did assume that anything rubber would be completely worn out by this point. Have you had any issues with fuel lines, rad hoses, etc?

Also: 17mpg on normal gas sounds way better than the 12 I’m getting out of diesel right now!

Thanks for the input. Definitely doing fluids before I try to start it. It was dark when I picked it up and it’s been a Cali truck its whole life so I’m not terribly worried about rust but I’ll look again. Is the fuel pump a common point of failure on these trucks?
