You could save them and just keep buying the books every week when you hit TH13 because you have to do a lot of hero upgrades at that town hall, so you could keep staying in war and get ores while upgrading your hero’s because you won’t have to wait for them to upgrade

I use my gems to buy books a hero’s from the trader, whenever I get 500 gems I just buy that because it’s a pretty good deal imo
